Weekend Sports Huddle with Tom Pollin & Dave Holcomb

Dec. 10, 2016

WRSP presents the 26th weekly episode of Weekend Sports Huddle with co-hosts Tom Pollin and Dave Holcomb. It's middle of December, so what better time would it be to discuss MLB at great length? But actually, there was quiet a bit of movement at the MLB Winter Meetings this past week. For starters, the Chicago White Sox departed with ace pitcher Chris Sale and outfielder Adam Eaton, going into full rebuild mode. We're discuss the reaction out of the South Side after those two massive deals. On the north side of the city, the Cubs made one of the most underrated deals of the week, and the Pirates proved once again, that sometimes, the best moves you can make are the ones you don't do. This Saturday, Army and Navy are the only ones playing, but all college football eyes will be in New York at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Is it still Lamar Jackson's to lose? Our hosts will weigh-in and say whether they plan on watching the ceremony. Finally, our show ends with a preview of NFL Week 14. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a golden opportunity to gain ground in the AFC North race, and our hosts predict whether the Chicago Bears can sweep the season series with the Detroit Lions.  To end the show, Pollin has his usual Nostrathomas Predicts & the hosts preview a couple of the top matchups for Week 13.
