O2 Making Waves 4th July'08 - Wyvern Lingo

July 4, 2008

The last thing prodigious new Irish band Wyvern Lingo would ever do would be to conform to a stereotype. They may be a band composed of three girls, but they are most definitely not a "girl band". With the girls syphoning their inspiration from such rich and diverse sources as Led Zeppellin, Aretha Franklin and Jeff Buckley, they have successfully crafted a musical style that is at once reminiscient of their heroes yet completely their own. Wyvern Lingo recently took part in the 2FM School of Rock competition, where they went all the way to the Leinster finals.
