The negotiators at the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service typically thrive on face-to-face interactions with corporations, unions and agencies. That's how they build trust and settle disputes. But when a pandemic hits, in-person sessions go out the window. The service had dabbled in video mediation well before the pandemic moved everyone to their home offices. Now all mediators are equipped with at least one video platform.
