In today’s episode, Dom and Terri discuss hair. Now, this is not just a discussion on “Good vs. Bad Hair”, though the ladies briefly touch on it. This is a conversation that begins with a quick history lesson on the Tignon Laws of New Orleans and then moves into modern ways in which our hair is policed, judged, politicized, and criticized. The words we use to describe someone’s hair or the assumptions we make about one another based on how we choose to wear our hair can be hurtful and offensive. Terri and Dom share with us their hair journeys and how they have been impacted by the words of others.
