Jesus has impacted the world more than anyone who ever walked this earth. No matter what a person thinks about him spiritually, they cannot deny his role in human history. Therefore, it is incredibly important to know what he actually said. In the "sermon on mount" Jesus challenged his listeners in ways that they would have never expected. He set the standard and then ultimately stood in their stead when they couldn't live up to it. What an awesome leader...we should certainly take note of ALL that he said.
