KyAira Carter on Meeting Your Parents Where They Are and Releasing Unhealthy Beliefs

Sept. 16, 2019

Today I'm talking with KyAira Carter, Certified Yoga Instructor and Owner of Yokyni Organics.  Stepping into entrepreneurship came from a year of intense therapy where she was encouraged to release years of suppressed emotion, toxic behaviors and unhealthy beliefs formed about herself and others, and generational trauma that she - like many other African American people - was carrying without even realizing. Healing those wounds allowed her to replace everything she'd unlearned with unconditional love, healthy boundaries, and self-confidence.

Today we are talking about how she was able to meet her parents where they are after they separated, how she ended up moving back in with her dad after experiencing freedom on her own, and when she realized she could set boundaries in her (sexual) life.
