Treasure by Astro: a Song in Review

Oct. 25, 2020

In this episode of Check It/Round Table Onna discusses Treasure by Astro as she wants to do anything rather than clean her closet, again.  Onna considers how Bob got into Astro, which changed their name to Bangtan Boys, and then BTS, which is supposedly an abbreviation standing for Bullet Proof Army.  Onna considers how a lengthy bus ride because she hates driving, which led to a lot of time she could listen to Astro to to and from work.  Onna considers how Treasure was her go from Bus-Stop-to-Work song that helped remind her how Treasure reminds her each time she listens it reminds her of the treasures of people and helps her to reminding her to be thankful and to let those we are thankful for know that we are.  Onna considers how this song is the antithesis of BTS' newer song Filter as it really is about thanking a person for being one of the individual's landscape and helping to light up the darkness that can be in a life.  Onna suggests that when you have the opportunity to tell someone you appreciate them, to make that call, send that email, message or text that person that you do treasure them and that you appreciate that they help you define your life.

Onna has a digression on the current state of Kpop and how the focus seems to shift negatively the more popular rather than to be better in quality. Onna considers at the end of the day, it really is about how do your actions help others both on micro/macro levels.  It's all here.  It's all real.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On928rwnm6g
