The Biden/Harris Inauguration - 2021

After the 2020 presidential elections in the United States, many of us waited with bated breath for the inauguration of the country's 46th president, Joe Biden, and vice president, Kamala Harris. Despite the challenges preceding January 20, 2021; the inauguration ceremony was successful. Success may be relative to the lens of the viewers; however, it was entertaining and easily displayed a proportion of the traditional show. As a Caribbean immigrant, this sort of political transition of power is unusual as it was more extravagant than the transition in Jamaica. Indeed, such extravagance would not have been expected from a small country like Jamaica. Naturally, the COVID-19 pandemic had forced the suspension of more elaborate displays and post-event pleasantries. Anyway, it was a great function.
