The Christmas edition of Food for Europe looks at festive foods and farm products from the perspective of sustainability, tradition and quality. We travel to Charente-Maritimes in France to meet an oyster farmer whose bivalves benefit from an EU Protected Geographical Indication. We meet Julia and Wesley, butchers in Brussels selling slow-growing, forage-feeding turkeys. We hear from master chocolatier Pierre Marcolini as he manages the mad Christmas rush. And we meet Anne-Sophie, who cultivates Christmas trees in the Ardennes.
