Jan. 19, 2023

Lynn tells us about Mary Harris Jones, one of the world’s top revolutionaries for leading the fight for workers' rights and certainly, the most famous female labor activist of the nineteenth century. Mary Harris Jones—aka “Mother Jones”—was a self-proclaimed “-raiser” in the cause of economic justice. She was so vociferous that a US attorney once labeled her “the most dangerous woman in America.”

Then Rose tells us about Amber McLaughlin who was the first openly transgender person to be put to death by execution in the U.S. Amber McLaughlin was convicted of stalking and killing a former girlfriend, then dumping her body near the Mississippi River in St. Louis.
