Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine,
according to the power that works in us, (MEV)
Matthew 14:15-16 That evening the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s
already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”
16 But Jesus said, “That isn’t necessary—you feed them.” (NLT)
1. God wants to do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond through you
2. You need examine what you have
Mark 6:37-38 But Jesus said, “You feed them.” “With what?” they asked. “We’d have to work for months
to earn enough money to buy food for all these people!” 38 “How much bread do you have?” he asked. “Go
and find out.” They came back and reported, “We have five loaves of bread and two fish.” (NLT)
3. You need to bring what you have to Jesus
Matthew 14:17-18 “But we have only five loaves of br
ead and two fish!” they answered. 18 “Bring them
here,” he said. (NLT)
4. What you give to God, He multiples
Matthew 14:19-21 Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two
fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread
to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the
disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. 21 About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the
women and children! (NLT)
Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and
running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
(NIV)
1. Spontaneous
2. Systematic
Leviticus 27:30 “‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees,
belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. (NIV)
3. Strategic
2 Corinthians 9:6-10 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever
sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your
heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to
bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every
good work. 9 As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness
endures forever.” 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and
increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. (NIV)
4. Sacrificial
2 Corinthians 8:2–5 They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also
filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity. 3 For I can testify that they gave not
only what they could afford, but far more. And they did it of their own free will. 4 They begged us again
and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem. 5 They even did more than
we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted
them to do. (NLT)
