The proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) is a 600-mile underground interstate natural gas transmission pipeline. Like the Dakota Access Pipeline, the ACP has come under fire from environmental groups, like the Southern Environmental Law Center, concerned about the pipeline's impacts on Virginia's natural resources. Those who support the pipeline, including Governor Terry McAuliffe and Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam, say that its construction will bring more than 8,000 jobs to the Commonwealth.
