Doubt is sometimes treated like a dirty little secret in the church. We don’t like it. We are very uncomfortable with it. At times, we even pretend like it doesn’t exist. It seems few are willing to talk about it with the kind of raw, introspective honesty as the Psalmists do. But the truth is we all experience moments, days, even entire seasons when we struggle with doubt. So how are we to understand and respond to doubt when it inevitably shows up in us?
