Kathryn interviews cardiovascular specialist Amy L. Doneen, MSN, ARNP and co-author of “Beat the Heart Attack Gene: The Revolutionary Plan to Prevent Heart Disease, Stroke, and Diabetes”. Illustrated by examples from the authors' own patients to explain what really causes heart disease, debunking many myths and misconceptions. Doneen is the Medical Director of the Heart Attack & Stroke Prevention Center in Spokane, Washington. Kathryn also interviews spoken word artist Arlene Schindler, author of “The Last Place She’d Look”, an uproarious novel about a self-help writer who anxiously faces a milestone birthday by compulsively searching for a serious relationship. Schindler uses humor and affection to tackle topics like dating, marriage, divorce, diets, weight and emotional eating.
