The controversial case of Massachusetts vs. Michelle Carter, is currently unfolding. She is charged with involuntary manslaughter for provoking the suicide of her boyfriend, Conrad Roy. Today's guest, John Michael Williams, a filmmaker from Boston, spent five years in the town of Bridgend in England studying suicide as the town was plagued by 99 suicides. John is an advocate for talking about suicide with young people, especially because technology now plays such a major part in their daily lives. Dr. Carole's take, from the information available so far, is that Michelle is a manipulative young woman who preyed on Conrad's vulnerabilities to fulfill her own narcissistic needs.
