September 11, 2018 marks the 17th anniversary of 9/11. But, for the victims and their families, it's as though it happened yesterday. Lisa Luckett is a 9/11 widow. Her story is both tragic and uplifting. Her new book, The Light in 9/11: Shocked by Kindness, Healed by Love, is her gift to the world. In it she shares what she has learned from this trauma to help others heal. With the clarity that only comes with time and distance, Lisa discovered the resiliency and beauty of the human spirit and vowed to not allow her husband’s death to be in vain by making something positive rise from the ashes of this tragic nightmare. While, of course, we must 'never forget' 9/11, the victims, their families, and the ongoing threat of terrorism, it is also important to find a path towards healing.
