Congressman John Carter (R-TX 31st) serves on a number of influential House Appropriations subcommittees dealing with Defense, Commerce, Justice and Science. He is the Chairman of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Appropriations. He also co-chairs the House Army caucus and participates in the House Republican Steering Committee. Congressman Carter is also one of only a handful of House members to have had legislation signed into law by past and current Presidents: George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
