In this passage from 1 Corinthians, Paul reminds believers that the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God. As our world becomes more wicked, our message will sound more and more foolish to unbelievers, and we may be tempted to change it to make it more palatable. We must resist this temptation, holding fast to the message of the cross, as it alone has the power to save.
