Our Top 5 Movies of 1998

July 2, 2018

In Episode 84 of the Crooked Table Podcast, Robert Yaniz Jr. and Kai Yaniz hop a ride on the nostalgia wave as the journey back 20 years (!) to the year 1998. It was a simpler time, when our distinguished hosts were mere high school students, and the world had yet to be conquered by perpetual lists and rankings of the so-called "good ol' days."

In that spirit, join us as we discuss the theatrical releases turning 20 years old this year that have stuck with us the most. And, if you're among our younger listeners, marvel at the fact that these films were unleashed on a world wherein the internet had still not gone completely mainstream. Before social media. Before smartphones. These were the films we that helped define the late 90s. In short, these are our top 5 movies of 1998.

Note: If this episode connects, prepare to hear us revisit other key cinematic years of our youth. Is that a promise or a threat? You decide. Either way, we'll be right here peering through our rose-colored glasses at the films we were watching two decades ago. But seriously, let's talk the greatness of 1999 in a few months, yeah? Cool.

We’re excited to hear your feedback as the Crooked Table Podcast continues to evolve. As usual, the show does feature explicit language and, as such, is best considered NSFW.

Thanks for listening!
