Erik Lokkesmoe is co-president of Aspiration, an indie film distributor, and co-founder of DIFFERENT DRUMMER, a global marketing and publicity agency for top entertainment brands and content. Different Drummer has marketed Fox’s 12 Years A Slave and Life of Pi, Disney’s Frozen and Tangled, Fox Searchlight’s The Tree of Life and Beasts of the Southern Wild, and more than 150 other indie and studio films, television shows, books, and music acts. Erik is the former VP of Strategic Partnership and Outreach for AFG/Walden Media/Bristol Bay Productions, the creators of The Chronicles of Narnia franchise, Ray, and Amazing Grace. An author, speechwriter to celebrities and political leaders, Capitol Hill press secretary, and former head of communications at the National Endowment for the Humanities, Erik has an MA in Public Communications from American University, with an emphasis in Social Marketing. He and his wife, Monica, and three children recently moved from New York City to Nashville where he offers open invitation to anyone who likes to drink bourbon, talk about common grace, and read Tintin graphic novels.
