For most of her life, Paula Stone Williams lived as a man. She led a conservative evangelical church for more than 20 years. She was married to a wonderful woman and had three children. But she also harbored a secret. Since she was a small child, she knew she was a woman.
Her path to coming out — and what happened afterwards — is the subject of her new memoir, “As A Woman: What I Learned about Power, Sex and the Patriarchy After I Transitioned.”
Tuesday at 9 a.m., Williams will join Kerri Miller to discuss her transition at the age of 60, how her family and friends reacted and what she learned about the patriarchy after living her life as a trans woman.
Paula Stone Williams is a transgender pastor. Her just-published memoir is “As A Woman: What I Learned about Power, Sex and Patriarchy After I Transitioned.”
