#308: ‘Lucy I’m Home’ is from the classic TV show ‘I Love Lucy’. Lucy’s husband, Ricky, would enter the apartment and announce his arrival, often times to no response. If you want a healthy and thriving marriage, the first five minutes in the home are crucial. If you regularly halfheartedly acknowledge your spouse when they first get home or worse yet, ignore them, they will eventually lose their enthusiasm for coming home. You don’t have to drop everything you’re doing and run to the door, but a sincere greeting and maybe a hug and kiss will certainly give them something to look forward to instead of being greeted with an “I’m too busy to acknowledge you just arrived" reaction.
