I truly have given this a try but sorry, it’s just not as enjoyable as it was with Mark and Johnathan. And I miss “hanging with Gresh and Spiguyver”.
It’s called Hang Your Own Hang for a reason, and that reason is hammocks. Just not enough hammock conversation!
Sorry guys, but I have to unsubscribe.
Thanks, Jonathan and Mark, for producing such a wonderful podcast. I discovered it early on and have been listening ever since. You’ve had such a wide array of guests and topics, which really helps to keep the content fresh and interesting.
Loving it. I’m kicking my self for not listening soon and was really shocked to here my name mentioned in one of your podcast episode 38. Keep up the awesome job
New listener. I just am getting into hammock camping only been on one trip so far. Spend a lot of time in my car and music has just made me bored as of late. This is the first podcast I’ve listened too and it’s been great. Learned a lot of things, the main being I have a lot to learn about hammocks. Still only halfway through the content but can’t wait to listen to the rest!
Have listened to a few episodes so far and have really enjoyed each one. Interesting to meet some of the people on the leading edge of hammock camping and hear in depth interviews with them. I like the format with a longer topic and then a few shorter ones. A great addition to hammockforums.net for information and perspective. A nice substitute for actually getting out on the trail.
As a guy who has been hammock camping for over 30 years these guys constantly remind me how fun the evolution has been. The podcast has been fun to listen to for the last year or so since I first found it. The wide variety of guest from writers and Youtubers to inventors and amazing youth sharing there stories are great. Thanks guys for all your hard work and keep them coming.
I love the outdoors and learning different ways to enjoy it. I’m very interested in hammock camping. I learned of your show from The First 40 Miles podcast. If you like hiking and camping then this podcast is for you!
You guys are great hosts. You have interesting guests and ask them great questions so that we can learn. I've learned a ton about tree dwelling but also about camping and hiking in general. I can't wait for my next long drive in the car to get an episode in. And I love listening with my son with your frequent mention and focus on scouting. Keep up the great work!
Absolutely the best part of my daily commute...until this morning when I finally finished the backlog. Love this podcast. Mark and Jonathan make great hosts because they are eager learners, and their guests are industry experts and pioneers. Coupling this with my daily visits to HammockForums reconnected me with camping after nearly a decade since I stopped camping with Scouts as a youth. I'm on the verge of completing the "12 nights a year" challenge (at least 1 night each month for the year), and show absolutely no signs of stopping. Thank you for helping reinvigorate my love out camping and giving me a wonderful new hobby and sense of community!
Love the different takes on hammock camping from your guests. Very informative information, which as an admin of the Facebook Hammock Forums group is something we hold in common... getting the information out there and try to make it easier for the beginner to make informed decisions. Thank you for what you do!
Love it guys!! Love how you have got a lot of the heavy hitters of hammock hanging And their views on hammocks and hanging in general. Keep up the good work guys!!
The US "equivalent" to the UK's Handy Hammock (who is no longer in business it looks like) is called the NoGround Pole; it doubles as a trekking pole AND it's built to accept a hammock tarp. It's very innovative!
You can find them on Facebook 'Cheryl Mitchell - TiggzCraftworkz'
Lemme tell ya suttim. If your inta the outdoors and hammock camping and all, then you're gunna really like this podcast and all.
The hosts are great, knowledgeable and encouraging. And they get great guests too.
If yer looking for suttim ta listen ta while yer drivin ta work or maybe school and all, them this podcast is for you!
Whooo buddy everybody.
So far I have been enjoying your Podcast. I have noticed your episodes are getting better over time. Mainly the editing and such. If there is any advice I can give is there is no need to ask each other how things are going. An introduction of each person is good enough and start talking about new things in the last week/month. Careful on clipping peoples conversations as you can really hear it when listening through headphones.
This has really filled my train ride to and from work and hope to hear more from you guys.
I really enjoy hearing the back stories of the infamous members of HF =) This podcast is informative yet has a laidback flow for easy listening. Keep up the good work!
A wealth of information on a rather obscure topic presented in an entertaining format. What more can I say except, it is a "don't miss" for anyone interested in hammock camping. Thanks for the great work!
Hi my name's Chad and I'm a tree dweller. I just started listening to these guys last week and I'm almost out of episodes. I listen during my commute and they have been so exciting for me that I listen to the same one in the morning and then again in the evening, just to make sure I didnt miss anything. Half of what I've heard has been new to me, like Dutch and TREEfool and the talk about the SuperShelter with Tom Hennessy. Keep up the great work.
The moderators have chosen a wide variety of guests. Guests have been articulate and informative. The moderators have asked questions to elicit answers that give us insight and information. Finally, the interviews are inspiring and fun!
Thanks for the work guys, the interviews and your discussions are great. I'm new to hanging, and I love researching other's perspectives and tops. Well done and informative. Keep it up Jon and Mark!
In a sea of podcast that cover every topic know to man & more, I was amazed that there wasn’t one focused on my personal obsession, hammock camping. Finally, the void has been filled! Hosts, Jonathan & Mark, are reaching out to to the celebrities of the hammock camping world like “Shug”, “Dutch” & many more to enlighten & entertain us. If you like hitting the trail with a hammock, this is the podcast for you!
One of ten checking in! Keep up the good work, some interesting interviews so far. Good info not just for hammock campers but anyone into backpacking and the outdoors.
Loved both episodes so far. Thanks for taking the time and energy to put this together. Makes for some enjoyable listening on my commute. Just wish I had less commute and more hang time.
