I’ve always been told I’m a natural salesman, from early on til now I’ve always enjoyed the art of selling and closing. I have definitely picked up many gems from your pod cast.
My question is how could someone like meWith a reasonable amount of success go out and drum up business of my own different from the company leaves that I am assigned. Hello Victor, I recently started listening to your podcast and I think is amazing I picked some tips and good advise from you. I’ve been in sales for about 2 years in the lumber business and it’s been a challenge however this episode gave some idea on how to achieve my goals by starting step by step (so here is my first feedback) and I will read my first page of one book I want to read since 2005 and never pass from the prologue and I will set my goals on my cold sale calls. I am a Sleep Expert and I sell beds, in fact you own one made by my company. Although I have been successful throughout my career - my numbers have slowly getting worse for more than a year. I have gone from #1 to last on my team. After speaking with my peers I feel that I have identified information asymmetry as my primary problem. The issue is that I cannot seem to put myself in the customers shoes - In other words, I don't understand how to simplify the information that I provided to them. I don't want my customers to feel as though I'm giving them too much info but I also don't want them to feel as though they cannot feel confident making a buying decision. I believe that I give them as much information as I do because I'm trying to block common objections later on in the sales process. What advice can you give me to ensure that I am blocking frequent objections before they arise while still reducing information asymmetry?
