Reviews For Sirenicide

Update: Wow! This show keeps getting better and better! S4 has been amazing so far! Great character development, rich soundscapes, excellent writing! There’s so much at state in Morston and the world... I can’t wait to see what happens! I met Johnny Stitches on fb and discovered that he had this show, Sirenicide. I was curious to see how a modern radio serial horror drama would be presented, and upon listening to the show I am very pleased and intrigued with what Johnny and Sirenicide have created. The production quality is great and the writing is dark, dramatic and intense. Love the audio aesthetics and music too. You feel immersed in the environment as you hear what’s going on around the characters. Can’t wait to see what happens and how the the USG, Dark Elite, and Sirenicide will (hopefully) be dealt with! Great job on the show guys!!!
I’ve listen to the show multiple times and every time I find out something new. Keeps you guessing a little confusing at first but very rewarding to relisten‘s. Awesome to see it grow from a starter series to a professional one.
The podcast isn’t bad, it’s just really hard for me to follow. It feels like so many scenes and characters come out of nowhere that I found myself not knowing what’s going on.
Sirenicide is a complex narrative with many characters and plot lines. I recommend this to everyone to listen to this podcast.
This is the most boring, hard to follow, poorly produced, written and acted podcast. Plenty of better options are out there, such as “We’re alive” or “Darkest Night” I highly recommend those as opposed to this.
This is my 1st podcast the guy that made it introduced me to it and I love it!
Great show with a rich story. Acting and sounds amazing!
The show is extremely corny so much that I can’t help but laughing
Love the acting and the story. It's reminiscent of the first season of Darkest Night.

It’s so cheesy!!!! The voice acting isn’t the best but I’m still enjoying it though. Just finished season one in one day.
First podcast! Super exciting to listen to them! I also got to meet the creators behind the podcast in person! They’re are awesome! So go check them out!
Sirenicide is awesome!!!!! Highly recommend!
Very good audio drama. Acting isn't nearly as bad as people say and the actors definitely improve with each season. Music and sound effects are very good and the story is very interesting.
The voice acting is not as bad as many say. In the beginning it may be kind of rough but the writing and sound design are excellent throughout each season. The voice actors also improve with each season and the writing is very, very good. Give it a chance, it’s really good.
Sirenicide is one of my all time favorite podcasts and a great audio horror/drama. The creativity and originality behind this content is extremely refreshing and a far cry from the cookie-cutter formula of ‘mysterious killings/disappearances/abductions in _____ small town/city/area where the protagonist is seemingly the only person to notice this mystery and singlehandedly proceeds to unravel the mystery only to be crazy/proven wrong/ignored by the community/officials/government’ that seems to have become the go-to for many podcasts in this genre. Instead, Sirenicide is an intricate and woven story that combines many characters, motives, plot threads, points of view, twists, turns, and goals throughout the entire series. While it may start off focusing more on a few individuals, this show rapidly expands into a beautifully crafted universe with a massive scope of content. This is a program that requires some attention and focus to really enjoy though, so make sure you listen to it when you can really give it the attention it deserves. Gotta love that medically induced metal...acolyte 447 for life.
This show is very interesting and has its creepy moments. I spent a lot of the first season wondering what was going on but you learn more details the further down the rabbit hole that you go.
As some others have said, if the voice acting wasn't so bad, it'd probably be pretty good. I do like the idea and tried to continue listening, but the acting just gets worse.

I can't get pass the first few episodes lol. You can tell most voice actors are reading from a script and it's just cringey to me.
I have been hooked since episode one. Already on my 3rd listen through. 😀
It’s a messed up story and I love that. Very creepy, with unconventional characters. You can almost have sympathy for some of the worst among them. I like also how the mini episodes follow small tangents that are important to the story but might otherwise not fit into a full episode. They are laser focused and fun. I will be listening to this for as long as it runs. Thank you for the original storyline! Keep up the good work.

The story is very intricate and the team does an excellent job putting everything together. I like how the production seems to be getting better and better. Great work!
Awesome storyline and a very intricate character development. Love it.

Not poorly written, but wasn’t thought through when it comes to natural speech. And that annoying voice of the main character. It’s awful. Really bad voice acting. Really bad. Tried listening to this just after finishing “we’re alive”. This just simply cannot compare.
Sirenicide tells a fantastic tale of horror that spans centuries. A great unfolding story, authentic voice acting, great Foley effects, and a hauntingly original musical score for each episode Sirenicide delivers! If you enjoy the horror genre then Sirenicide is a must-listen.

I was told of this podcast and started listening last night, I’ve now consumed 7 episodes in less than 24 hours. Great vocal work, wet...dripping...flesh tearing sound effects that echo between my ears. Well written story line and spine tingling music. I’m so taken by the first season, I’m telling my friends so we can have a good fright together. Well done and I’m looking forward to what’s next.
I listen to A LOT of different podcasts. My favorite genre is serialized dramas (We're Alive, The Bright Sessions, Bronzeville, Darkest Night, etc etc) and this podcast was a nice addition to my regular listens. It was nice coming into a podcast with 2 full seasons to binge. It's intriguing enough to keep me coming back, and I'm hoping some of the off the wall stuff will all tie together in time (ie: the lake monster??). So all that said, I decided to leave a review because there is one voice actor that is just awful. I have tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, perhaps her character is apathetic as she has very little inflection in her voice. But I've come to the conclusion that the voice actress for Vema should be replaced or coached to improve. I know that she has a bigger role in the whole of the Sirenicide podcast but maybe off mic or practice more. She's hard to listen to. :( I'm sorry to say.
Wow I started listeneing and could not stop love this podcast great story very inventive !!!Please keep them coming love the podcast great job guys!!!
Sirenicide has become one of my all time favorites. Your attention to detail is outstanding. I love getting to work, plugging in and getting lost❤️
Some many voice actors from so many different podcast show up in this amazing podcast. Love it
I am an avid creepy story podcast listener!! This is fantastic and I want to hear what's coming next!?! What the hell?! Did they kill off the hero?!? Eddy had a maniacal girlfriend?!? Room for improvement : Vema is a great character but her "style" of talking is totally wrong .... she sounds like a bored valley girl and she is supposed to be a brilliant ego drive Scientist.... But that's not that big of a deal... just an FYI ... Still love it and can't wait for more ❤️
This podcast isn’t as polished as some of the other fiction ones I listen to. The voice acting isn’t super great and the story is pretty convoluted, but that said, I keep listening for whatever reason. I guess I keep hoping the story will come together and make more sense, and in a way it is, just super slowly. So take from that what you will.....
The suspense is great and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It really makes you feel for the characters through rough times. Keep up the great work guys!

Top shelf podcast🤘💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s a little quirky at first, but once you figure out what’s happening it becomes addictive.
This is an interesting concept, but it falls apart in production. The dialogue and acting is so bad that it's not even laughable. If anyone from the staff reads these, I'd recommend reading your dialogue out loud before passing it on. Real people don't talk like that.
The writing on this show is great, and the production value shows that the showrunners obviously care about delivering a quality show to their audience.
Captured my attention. Something different to listen to opposed to the usual podcast.
I have tried to give this podcast a chance. Having listened to episode 1 to the most recent episode, I have been, admittedly, thoroughly confused by everything going on. The team behind Sirenicide have been trying to piece things together for the story but none of it makes sense. The long list of characters by this time have nothing in common and each episode picks up a new character to try to describe how they are in this war with whichever side is there. You only really see the one character throughout and he is searching for answers that he never truly gets. I can admit that the second season is far better than the first; the first season had terrible voice actors who felt like they were just reading the script, not acting it, and there are still some of those readers in season two. The SFX are stale and do not express the characters behind them. For instance, if a character is mad, they don't slam a door behind them; they somehow just close it very calmly. I feel the only saving grace to this series are the NoSleep Podcast cast members that lend their voices. They know what they're doing while other voices around them just sound very awkward. I feel there is room to improve for this podcast but I have given it my shot and find it is confusing, awkward to listen to and stale.
I think the voice acting is great. The story and characters are awesome and I really like the soundtrack.
You never know where this show will take you, the story keeps twisting & turning with a variety of voice actors that keep it interesting. Ending with unique music, not the traditional bumper songs that others use. Love it & can't wait for the next episode! Keep up the great work Sirenicide 👍🏻
So many shows like this come and go. Some good, some great and some not worthy of your time. This one is good and getting better, but schedule is key and even though Sirenicide is new they have been very consistent. I'm NOT at all put back by the acting like a few of the others here, it's slowly getting better. It's hard to compare a new show like this too ones that have years and years of experience and funding behind them. And I'm very wowed by Dark Tranquillity's singer guest staring on Season 2.
The story telling is very immersive. I see a lot bad reviews on the acting, but it feels like old time Radio Drama acting too me. Their Sound effects are great as well as the music too. I feel like it's on par with a lot more high budget podcast, I just like the story more than most of those. Keep going Sirenicide!
I gave it a go for 5 episodes (and even tried season 2!) but the voice acting is just so so bad. I support creativity so it deserves 2 stars, but anyone giving this a positive rating is either paid to do so or they are friends with the people who produce it.
Every episode keeps me interested and wanting more!
I think there's a good story buried in here somewhere, but the voice acting makes this impossible to listen to. There were a few episodes that had a seasoned actress I recognize from the No Sleep podcast and I really enjoyed those episodes. I had hoped this was a sign of things to come, but alas, it was short lived. I just can't suffer through any more of it.
The story line might be interesting if the acting wasn't the absolute worst. The main actor is the worst of all. How did that happen? I can't even listen to it. There's so many great voice actors doing podcasts right now, no excuse. I recognized one girl from No Sleep and she was the only good thing about that one episode. Get you some talent and try again please.
