EW’s BINGE

Reviews For EW’s BINGE

My favorite episode of the series. Listening to Yvie and Nina banter, especially Yvie’s laugh, totally made my day. I wish they had a regular show, so I could hear them more often. Only thing that could make it better would be adding Bob and Vanjie to the mix.
Joey, your vocal fry is becoming so pronounced, i am close to stop listening. Please podcasters, Vocal Fry—it’s a real thing that irritates some of us enough to stop listening to pods and people we love.
The two monotoned hosts I feel don’t appreciate drag race or the queens like they should. I literally skip through their recap to get to the interview bc they are so boring. Please EW gets some BLACK entertainers to help lead this bc the lack of flavor is too much
One of the most well-done and NEEDED look-back at this cultural phenomena in these divisive times.
This is a fine show exploring RPDR and has lots of behind the scenes information. However, the hosts really need to examine their own implicit biases, especially when discussing queens of color. There are many unnecessary jabs at queens of color, as well as ignoring major contributions of the queens of color on the show. At the same time this podcast praises white queens often unnecessarily. In the season 8 episode, Bob attempts to shine some light on this by confronting the host’s questions. However, Bob’s attempts seem to go over their heads. In the season 2 episode, the hosts basically ignore Tyra’s accomplishments while on the show and criticize her without also examining the reality and weight of Tyra’s experience. Please do a little more work on yourself.
These hosts are boring!! They have such little motivation and don’t recap the season with the right energy... The highlights of these episodes are when the past queens are interviewed and are speaking more than the hosts.
They havent even see all of the seasons. They dont do drag and they havent had a Black guest on since season 4. I’m done with this.
Every ep so far has been great! I could listen to this all day. Honestly I’d be overjoyed if each episode lasted 6+ hours. Please, please, PLEASE do all stars as well!!!!
Just came across the Drag Race Binge which is a great idea but the hosts are soooo looow energy 😴😴😴😴 it sounds like they are giving the weather report instead of discussing a show they are supposed to be passionate about. They each need a quintuple espresso STAT! The extra bits with other queens don’t really add much. The only saving grace are the interviews with the season contestants where they discuss some nitty-gritty aspects of the season that I have not heard talked about before. Otherwise I’d be giving up after episode 2. Will definitely e doing more fast forwarding on the rest of the episodes.
I love hearing from the queens. And I love the access we get to them. But I would love more time with these two delightful hosts. Their enthusiasm is what I really connect with. And there’s a lovely balance. I would love to see the scope broaden to other things drag race adjacent.
I’ve been the biggest Drag Race fan and getting to hear behind the scenes tea from all my favorites from the show is so fun and the best escape. I look forward to new episodes every Thursday and can’t wait to see who’ll be featured next.

What happened to the rest of the season 5 interview?????
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for mentioning that people should not send hate to the contestants on Drag Race. Nobody deserves that. Plus these were recorded many years ago. They should not be haunted by things said over 10 years ago on a tv show.
Love listening to this podcast after binge watching Schitts Creek! Then returning to the episodes and rewatching with a new set of eyes! Makes me smile 😀 every time!
I love the show community my favorite characters are abed Troy Annie and the Dean. Me and my family watch it every night. My favorite episode are the glee club and the Christmas pageant and the study group needs to cover for the glee club and also all of the paintball episodes. This podcast and the Tv show is the BEST.
Love the podcast, great to hear from Daniel Levy himself, regarding all of the story choices made in the show. BUT wish you all talked more about all the characters instead of just focusing on David and Alexis...wish there was more about Johnny and Moira, and Jos and Roland ...thanks!!
It was supposed to return this January
Please, please please do something about the vocal fry and fast talk of the female host. It is beyond bad!
Hearing Levy’s explanations and descriptions is a real treat. However, the hosts interject, talk over, and interrupt him to the point that I yell “let him talk!” a dozen times an episode. I hope next season the hosts can curb their enthusiasm and let Levy get through a complete paragraph. I find myself wishing they would submit written questions and stay away from the mike.
...to listen to! I smiled all the way through.
Since SC is one of my favorite shows ever, I’ve heard many DL interviews about the show. This one actually covered some new ground...thx! Subscribed :)
Love, love, love! Hilarious and they get the answers to all the behind-the-scenes questions I’ve been wondering about!

This is my new favorite podcast!
This is going to be such a fun series! Can’t wait for more. Anything Dan Levy is a must watch/listen.
I can’t wait for season 3 to hit. Dan Levy is a dream. It really is just three fans (including him) discussing never-before-heard stories about filming the series
This is a must listen for any Friday nights light fan. It was so great to go back and listen to someone talk about my favorite show. These 2 are the perfect people to talk about it. They love the show as much as the true fans do, and have a great knowledge and perspective.
I have super-fond memories of FNL but not enough time to rewatch all 5 seasons. Getting to relive the show with the hosts was awesome! They are smart and fun and enthusiastic -- really enjoyed the interviews with the cast and writers too. I hope this podcast continues and the next installment is about something I care about. Thanks!
EW Binge is an anthology series with each season focusing on a different pop culture property. To start it off, they chose Harry Potter, which directly led my girlfriend and I to buy the movies and follow along with the hosts. Each episode is professionally edited with well researched information. To make it even better, EW has the power to recruit some amazing guest interviews with people who were in or worked on the properties. I look forward to future seasons!
Top notch pod!
I loved FNL before this podcast, but this is amazing and brings to light some great nuances that I missed the first time and gives me even more appreciation for such an amazingly written, acted show! I even named my pup after my fave character, #33! Sad that we only have a couple podcasts left ;( Ridonk!
Just finished watching the show and I am in withdrawal and missing the Taylors! Luckily I found this podcast and am really enjoying the recaps and insights into this fantastic show !
Is not working! It's only one minute. There seems to always be a problem when I am trying to listen to these podcasts. Last week they weren't working at all.
I was so sad when the Potter coverage was over! Bring use more binge! I'm listening a second time, I miss it so much!
I really liked this because I love talking and discussing Harry Potter, but I was disappointed that it focused more on the movies than the books, and that it ended so soon.
Really love this podcast! I hope this isn't it for Binge! I want them to cover more movies and shows! So good and so entertaining and I LOVE the hosts! They make me LOLZ all alone in my car!
I'm honestly surprised this doesn't have more ratings. I'm an avid podcast listener and the production of this podcast is up there with some of the top podcasts. I recommend this to any big potterheads out there. Very intertaining and insightful!
I've literally never reviewed a podcast before, but took the time to log in and rate this as 5 stars. I love them!
I never want it to end!
Just listened to the first episode and I am so disappointed that it's hosted by two people who don't know the books well. So many missed moments and misinformation that would have been taken care of if these two reread the books. FYI: Prof Q couldn't touch Harry without burning because Lily died protecting him and her love, deep magic, was his protection. Pretty important info when V has Harry tied to the gravestone in GOF which I hope these two decide to read again before they yack about it.
This is the most satisfying HP Podcast I've come across. I get so excited for new episodes. They have fantastic guests and I also find myself wishing I could join in on their conversation!
Marc is right. Michael Gambon was the worst thing to ever happen to the Harry Potter franchise. No eye twinkle. None. And so much yelling. No idea how JKR let that stand.
I have listened to each episode at least twice now and still can't get enough. I find myself laughing out loud to the commentary and have learned a few things about the Harry Potter series that I didn't know. This podcast is a fun way to relive the delight and mystery of the Harry Potter books.
Quite honestly the only thing I can listen to after the election, reminds me that love can conquer all. Go HP!
This is the first time ever that I write a review. I absolutely love this podcast. Every week I re-watch and re-read the book just to keep up with you guys.
Loving this podcast! Movie by movie and special interviews. This is a must for all who love the Potter world!
Seriously - these shows don't need to be Top 10 lists, ESPECIALLY when you're recapping storyline chronologically! When you put Madame Rosmerta as one of the "top magical creatures" of Prisoner of Azkaban, I realized what lazy show outlining was going on.
A must listen for any Harry Potter fan. Super funny opinions on the HP books and movies.
This is a podcast that everyone should listen to. I don't comment much but when I do, you know it's great!!!!
The "amazing insights that you won't find anywhere else" touted in the teaser are very few and very far between. Characters' background stories are neat, and Molly's Fawkes-Horcrux theory was definitely new for me. But other than that, these podcasts are essentially just a synopsis of the movies. The interviews are great, can't find interviews of this length elsewhere. I agree with another listener who's said - Mark, let Molly talk! Slash stop interrupting and/or negating her. She's bright more quality to the table than you so far, if (favorably) less verbose.
