Nate is almost never there. SSJ has completely mailed it in. It’s time for 810 to move on and try something new. The show is only listenable when Todd is hosting.
I really love the show, but I’m not from KC, but I’m a big Chiefs fan from Springfield who now lives in Minnesota. Could you Please post the podcasts to Apple. It’s 3:42 PM and I had a hard day of work. Very Disappointing not to hear my favorite show.
Want to like the show but there is a lot of tangential not sports related stuff that entertains the hosts but leaves me flat. Nate Bukaty likes to hear himself talk when he asks a question. Can’t he get it out in 20 seconds? I like Boddicker.
Pods are missing, do not show up. I think some of this is to do with bugs in apple’s podcast app. But 810 could look into things better.
Example:
I have had issues with episode titles of the same name not appearing. 810 does not put a date in the title of their shows. They could look into this and try and make a change. Who’s fault? Apple or 810? Who cares, 810 could look at dating their episode titles to prevent this issue. Most of the other pods I listen to do this if they have the same guest frequent.
I have emailed in the past, and the response is always; “its not our fault.”
I have had issues with episodes for both Petro and Border patrol. These are the only pods out of the 20 or so pods I listen to, and they are both on 810. It is very frustrating.
I love the show but there is always problems on here getting podcasts posted. So many segments just go missing. It’s been going on for about a year. I keep coming back because SSJ is the GOAT.
Please please please add the show segments either right after they are over, or at least right at 10am. I would listen every day if this was the case. I love the 3 man crew so much it pains me that I can’t listen to this morning’s segments before March Madness kicks off. It’s quite baffling.
This show used to be my favorite. But man have they gone south. The arrogance that they have just because the Chiefs are SB Champions is unbearable. My wife even mentioned it. She only listens when she rides with me and she said last week that the tone of the show has changed. And this was an I promoted comment.
Also, bring back Listen or Lose!
UPDATE: I’D LIKE TO RATE THIS PODCAST, BUT IT IS NOT UPLOADED IN A TIMELY MANNER, IF AT ALL. And, station needs to mandate that Nate ditches the “ums” and tongue clicks. Professional radio?
Previously: I enjoy the show; however, too much time is spent NOT discussing sports. My commute is thirty minutes, and I can easily make the entire trip without any sports discussion. Sometimes, too juvenile. And, please do not subject me to listening to Nate discuss soccer ever again. Obnoxious. Also, he needs a maximum word count benchmark whenever he speaks (make it short). I do, though, consider myself a loyal listener, using live streaming and podcasting. Worth the listen.
It’s a great show, but like so many other people have said, I am no longer able to access the vast majority of episodes. I wrote to Jake on Twitter, and he told me it was an issue on my end. I’ve done everything I’ve found online to fix the issue, but nothing works. This is also the only podcast that is having this issue for me, so I do think there’s something wrong on their end.
Same guests over and over.
Too much MMA and soccer.
Nate obviously doesn’t prep for show. He’s constantly googling about the guest during their interview.
Guys love to grandstand.
The content is good, but the show never uploads the podcast in a timely manner. Oftentimes, the podcast is updated hours or days later with many segments not included. When the guys talk about culture and football, it’s one of the best shows on KC radio. When they talk about sports no one cares about, I.e. soccer, it’s a very boring show.
Please fix the podcasts uploading. It’s quite obviously possible and at this point seems like laziness is the reason they aren’t showing up. Please fix it. So many people want you to lol. Love the show but don’t get to listen any more because it doesn’t get uploaded. C’mon guys you’re better than that.
What’s the deal with the show taking so long to show up on the 810 website and in the podcenter? The Program is always up before the Border Patrol, and that show is later. Let’s get that fixed please.
These guys are genuinely funny and are always ready to roast each other. Plus, they are old enough to have seen a few eras of Kansas City sports, and so can provide great analysis. They are the best show in this city.
Look forward to listening to The Boarder Patrol every morning on my way to work, and listen to the podcast for segments I missed in the drive home in the evenings. Love their enthusiasm, playfulness, and that they seem to genuinely like each other. Also, tons of great guests, including many new and fresh faces.
