Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar

Reviews For Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar

I understand that pharmaceutical companies can’t earn any money by addressing root causes. Regarding the question that was addressed at the end of the podcast, I feel badly for the person who posed the question. There are known root causes. The simplest thing to do for the person with asthma is to first remove all the usual suspects from the asthmatic’s diet — gluten, dairy from conventionally raised cows, grains (especially GM corn and soy), and sometimes lectins. Then supplement with magnesium chloride. An asthma specialist told me that my son would have to live with managing asthma with an inhaler. I took a different route. After giving my son magnesium chloride for 7 days, he never needed an inhaler again. There is scant evidence on pubmed. Even if a doctor doesn’t believe this natural method will work, what would be the harm in trying this natural method first? The Hypocratic Oath sates, “First do no harm.”
Thanks for sharing this very inspiring podcast! Thanks all the speakers and the team for their wonderful inputs!
I am a non-scientist. This podcast teaches me and holds my interest.
If you're curious about big scientific concepts, this podcast will bring you deeper and deeper into an enriched understanding and knowledge. Looking forward to sharing it with my daughter.
Phenomenal podcast. I personally learn so much from it. I hope working as a scientist will be an inspiration for my daughters. Looking forward to more episodes.
I am a new listener and I love this show! My 7 year old daughter loves it too. :)
I really appreciate the ability of our scientific community to tell stories about bio-science and their research in an engaging manner...well done!
I love this podcast. It's clever and easily understandable for everyone -- even if you're not a scientist. I've learned a lot and it's easy to listen while I'm commuting.
I am so glad I discovered this. I am interested to get into Pharma and and quickly learning about the field thanks to this podcast. Please keep producing!
This podcast is an inside peak at cutting edge drug development at Genentech. The guests are all top minds in their fields.
The content is very helpful and the interaction during the podcast keeps it interesting.
I love that the conversation is in relatively simple terms. I'm not a PhD biochemist but I can still follow the story. My favorite parts are learning the history of discovery and where we are now.
Love it! Can't wait to share with my kids.
I learn a lot from the sophistication and direct style of these discussions. Any chance they could go beyond corporate biotech? What's happening at universities? How about biology not related to disease? Physics? Chemistry?
