Jon Krohn’s Super Data Science podcast is a fantastic way to keep up with the world of AI and the people who work in the industry. His guests are spot on and always interesting.
Fun bonus comment - I came across John’s work on YouTube as well where he has a course on calculus. Since I’m taking a DS course right now I needed to brush up on the math.
I’ve been listening to SDS for a couple of years now and the content is always fascinating. Sometimes a bit over my head, but you can bet I am looking up the information and learning with every episode. Love the site as well, keep up the great work!
SDS is one of my few must-listen podcasts! Engaging, interesting, entertaining and useful for people at all levels of the data science and technology spectrum. Early in episode 845, you referenced the movie, “The Town” in your conversation with Cambridge, MA-based Greg Epstein. The Town which takes place in Boston, primarily Charlestown, is based on the book “Prince of Thieves” by Chuck Hogan who wrote the book after learning this data point: Charlestown, MA has produced more bank and armored car robbers in that one square mile (Charlestown) than anywhere else in the world (circa 2000). Great movie!
Been a huge fan of SDS podcast for years now. Started listening when I started grad school & it was really transformative for me! Huge shout out to Jon Krohn and the entire team working behind the scenes to make SDS possible, keep up the great work!!
I have been a fan of Jon Krone for maybe a decade. I own many of his Udemy courses which are excellent. Many of his episodes are must hear for people interested in ML, data science and AI
Correlation is not causation, but my career in data science (now MLOps) took off around the time I found this show 2 years ago! Since then, it has been a consistent treasure trove of relevant resources from tools to courses to great books I can check out (or win!). Jon is a fantastic host and provides lots of opportunities to engage with the show from guest questions to book giveaways. Highly recommend for anyone remotely interested in machine learning, especially those that are working in the field!
I have to say I truly appreciate the time and effort the team takes to create these podcast. Jon goes above and beyond with questioning and sharing his insights. It goes without saying the team does an exceptional job at their selection of truly knowledgeable guest showcased with Julia’s appearance. I recommend this podcast most often when asked what resources am I going to stay up-to-date in my role is Principal of AI & Data Science at Ampersand Consulting.
I am a professor at a small faith-based institution and also in charge of the online education so staying up-to-date on things in CS and DS is always a challenge. Your podcast has allowed me to keep current in many areas and also reminds me to provide the practical to my students. I especially enjoyed episode 817 with Julia Silge and your discussion on AI and its impact on learning how to code versus learning a second language. I see this everyday so it really resonated with me. Again, thank you for making the complex, simple, and I hope I can do the same for my students.
I’m a loyal Last week in AI listener and heard you as a guest on their show and figured I would hear your episodes and I’m glad I did! You have great content and now part of my listening on a weekly basis.
I just wanted to thank you for being such a great mentor through your podcast. I can’t tell you how much it has benefited me and shaped my career. Your insights and advice have been invaluable, and I always look forward to each new episode.
This is a great podcast that brings some awesome people, and interestingly they all are very social, patience and want to help others.
Jon and Kirill hope you guys read this, I’m signed up with Superdatascience after listing to this podcast. I’m already loving it. I have one concern, you guys should build an app for superdatascience, at least to engage and chat with community.
Its quite hard sometimes to open browser and sign to reply and chat with others.
Great community, lot to learn and share.
I listen to this podcast every week. As someone who is in the AI field, with limited people to talk in the field, this podcast is food for thought. He has the greatest guest with really awesome topics. If you're looking to stay up to date with AI. This is the podcast.
For those seeking to build a well-rounded understanding of ML and AI, and a deeper dive into some of the details such as Transformers, etc, look no further. This one is your reference go-to podcast. Jon provides authentic, relatable discussions with his guests. The best part in case you missed notable details is Jon's brief on key points at the end. Thanks Jon! Because I am a commercial/IP transaction attorney looking to join a new team to make contributions in AI, this podcast has been helpful to me as I my pursue my objective of an in house counsel position for an AI company.
I’ve only listened to episodes 747 and 759 so far, but I’ve already come away with a much better understanding of what transformers do. This pod has hooked me hard, and I’m delighted that there’s SO much more to listen to - and learn from. I’ll be a while playing catch-up - but keep it coming… and thanks!
As someone who's trying to land their first data science/analyst role, this podcast has been critical in my development. Thank you so much for the thoughtfulness and depth of each episode. Keep rocking!
When I need to know the bottom-up and top-down details of an AI topic I search through the almost 1000 episodes with the foremost experts and thought-provokers on the cutting-edge of AI.
Became a believer after hearing the episode with ADSP and David Foster!
One day I hope to reach a point where I’m a guest on this podcast!
Great stuff Jon and team - I appreciate all the work that goes into finding relevant topics and experienced speakers in the data space. I’m a fan of data cuz trainers like Ann Emery, and I thought your explanation of code interpreter was helpful.
Jon. You nailed it again. I've spent 2 weeks pouring over Llama 2. What a waste of time. I should just have waited for your podcast and I would have gotten the most salient facts in 10 minutes!!!

This podcast is a must! The Super Data Science Podcast is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to unraveling the world of data science. With its remarkable insights and captivating discussions, this podcast serves as a gateway to understanding the immense power and potential of data.
Each episode features experts and thought leaders who delve into a wide range of topics, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and more. The podcast strikes a perfect balance between technical depth and accessible explanations, making complex concepts comprehensible to both beginners and experienced professionals.
The quality of the conversations is outstanding. The host's passion for data science shines through as they effortlessly guide guests through thought-provoking discussions. The podcast goes beyond theoretical knowledge, incorporating real-world applications and practical tips to equip listeners with the tools needed to thrive in the field.
For anyone interested in data science or looking to leverage the power of data in their respective industries, this podcast is a goldmine of information. It serves as a constant source of inspiration, providing valuable insights and real-life examples that showcase the transformative potential of data.
I have a lot of training in statistical and data science methods, but come from an academic/research background. So that paints my perspective a bit. The Friday educational podcasts are good, the longer ones are a bit boring. Why? The guests are more into selling a product, and don’t seem equipped to have deeper discussions about methods or the philosophy of their use. Maybe bring on more researchers? Or maybe I’m just not the target audience.
The podcast could be great but is not currently. The guests are great and the topics are thoughtful. The major problem is I usually don’t learn anything about the topic at hand. This wouldn’t be such an issue if the episodes were shorter, but they are very long. Suggestions: (1) Get to the point faster; (2) Make the takeaways clear and actionable; (3) Save the banter and name game for the end. People outside the inner DS circle don’t care about the “I met you through so and so…” Leave that to the end so we don’t have to fast forward; (4) consider shortening. Over one hour is too long.
This podcast has one of the greatest and most engaging hosts I’ve ever listened to. Jon Krone has an unrivaled ability at taking HUGE ideas/concepts and distilling them down to really understandable chunks for the listener. I use this podcast to stay current on industry movements I should be keeping my eye on. If you are in the industry and you enjoy thoughtful and sometimes outright hilarious conversations, start listening NOW!!!
I am addicted to listening to Jon Krohn, I found your podcast a month ago, till now I have listened to about 100 episodes! Do you believe that?
I am surprised because I am listening day and night without getting bored!
Thank you for your wonderful work.
I would like to support your podcast by all means.
I am really grateful for Jon and all the team behind him.
Best Regards
Together we can make this world a better place

No matter the topic, you’re guaranteed to gain something important from every episode. Jon is a total rock star who really knows his stuff. I can’t recommend SuperDataScience enough. 🙌🏻
SuperDataScience is a top notch podcast. The topics are interesting and the guests are always great at breaking down new concepts and explaining them for everyone to understand. This podcast is an excellent way to keep up with what's going on in the industry these days.
The content would have been great if it would play...
Every time I want to listen to an episode, I get an error message that the episode is unavailable. Doesn’t happen with any other podcast but this one. Strange. 🤔
Jon is a fantastic host and his conversations with his guests are really authentic, relevant, and easy to follow, even if you’re not in data science. Super show.
I am NOT in a field even remotely related to data science but this has been my most favorite podcast. It is also the one I recommend the most. I have really enjoyed the guests on the show and especially the short Friday episodes. I really feel like I have been joining Kirill on his journey. I am sad for myself that Kirill will not be hosting the podcast anymore, but so happy for Kirill to follow his path. Thank you so much.
I’m not directly in the data science field, but I am a Software Developer and I still find this podcast to be one of my favorites. It’s extremely interesting and the host really knows how to pace his interviews and leading the conversation in a direction that those not in the field understand as well.
It’s the first podcast I ever subscribed to. He motivates, encourages, and teaches you all sorts of concepts and ideas. He connects you to someone new almost every episode. I wake up to this podcast and it gets me excited to go into my office to explore and learn more. He gives me confidence and direction. I have yet to find another podcast that keeps me just as intrigued and involved.
If you’re in the Data Science field, this podcast is a must to understand the industry, learn tricks and tips and how to educate yourself further. There is so much here from how to prepare your application to insider knowledge on a variety of topics. Especially during this time when it’s hard to connect with other data professionals, you will feel looped in with the industry. Keep it up!
This podcast is great. Kirill’s knowledge and enthusiasm about Data Science is infectious. I have been enjoying the latest episodes but all the episodes up to 345 (I think) aren’t playing. And it isn’t just on the Apple podcast app, it happens on some of the other podcast platforms as well.
I hope the problem is fixed and I look forward to binging on your earlier episodes!
I just started by listening to the interview with a guy who got internship in data analytics with Disney and got addicted to the show. Being in this data science and analytics industry, I think this will be my go to podcast for my career.
Kirill has a skill that is lost by many. The ability to truly breakdown complex ideas and topics into simple ones that are easy to understand. From him Udemy courses, his Podcasts, his Confident Data Skills book, and to his social media presence he is a must follow. Thanks Kirill! I also enjoy the offshoot lifestyle episodes. The 10 day fast seems impossible...but maybe some day we will give it a try?!
Thank you Kirill for publishing podcasts regularly without losing quality. Your podcasts are an amazing place to learn new ways of solving problems in data science. Appreciate your work.
I’ve learned a lot from your podcasts. Could please talk about data science in accounting in the future? I’m a accountant who is studying data science now and want to switch to some spots where can combine them together.
Thanks,
Xuan
Love the podcast overall but haven’t been listening as much lately just because the quality of the recordings is very sub-par. Sounds like it’s recorded on a computer or phone mic. Kiril, you could get some serious returns if you invested just $100 in a Zoom H1n or something similar and half-way decent. A little bit can go a long way in terms of audio quality.
Aside from that, solid show!
Kirill invites a wide variety of guests in order to cover various topics in Data Science. In the podcast, he makes a field that might seem frightening and impossible to some an obtainable goal. Additionally, his courses are a great resource to learn data science skills.
Kirkuk is great! I took his Tableau courses on Udemy and he’s ability to teach and simplify is outstanding 👌🏼
I only just got into podcasts and I was poking for Data Science talks but couldn’t find any, until I stumbled on this and realised it’s Kirill again!
Highly recommended!
Hi Kirill,
Its one of the most knowledgeable and highly recomended podcasts. I hear your podcast most often especially when I am in office or when I am in car. You are so passionate about sharing the info and asking the questions that we have. Thanks for doing this to all the aspiring and working data scientists. Keep doing amazing podcasts as you do. Really love it. Great job!!
Happy analyzing!!

I recently found this podcast, as I started my data science journey. It has introduced me to so many inspirational data scientists, and I am learning how vast the discipline is. Kirill is an excellent host. “And now . . . Let’s make the complex simple.”
This is a great podcast for those who wants to pursue a career as a data scientist. I listened to every single episode of the series and it feels like I have gained huge amount of experience from the interviews. Highly recommended!
Episode 153, two of my favourite online teachers together on the same show. It's great you had Anthony Metivier on. Should have him write you some tastey theme music for your show.
This series is truly informative. I have just started to take first steps in data science and this podcast not only helps to learn the basics, but keeps us informed on the latest trends in this field. Really appreciate this from Kirill.
