I have been listening to this excellent podcast for years. There’s a huge catalog of episodes for intermediate+ learners. The best are the RST episodes in which Davide and Erika chat together in a natural, nonscripted way. Behind the paywall, you’ll find 100+ Tre Parole (TP) episodes in which Davide takes a deeper dive into a few selected words or phrases - good stuff.
I studied Italian as a teenager and did not have the opportunity to practice it for a long time. I now work for an airline and work flights to Italy as a translator as well French, and Spanish. I must say that podcast Italiano has been my way to keep a strong sentence structure and to be able to speak in a more natural way that doesn’t sound as if it’s coming from a textbook. Having studied multiple languages I always love finding the right podcast to continue improving my skills, I must say I always recommend this podcast to anyone that mentions that they have interest in Italian. Terrific job.
Un ottimo podcast, allo stesso tempo interessante e ben prodotto, per non parlare delle sfide per chi cerca di migliorare le proprie competenze italiane. Bravo, Davide!
Fantastic because there’s no English! Just Italian :) My favorite episodes are just organic conversations between two or more people (or stream-of-consciousness monologues [most important thing is they’re not readings of things that were pre-prepared]). Conversations make for great input that will force you to learn new vocab organically, and it’s way more engaging than things that are just read.
This podcast and YouTube channel are a real find. I began following to learn Italian, but have been blown away by the invaluable tips Davide provides about language learning in general. As a language enthusiast, I've studied 7 languages. Davide's original insights and clear explanations have helped to refine my language-learning strategy for all languages, not just Italian. If you are financially able, it's well worth becoming a member for access to the generous bonuses and welcoming community. And, of course, to support the hours of work that go into the content.
This is one of the best podcasts for intermediate learners of Italian. Each episode has interesting and useful content and Davide speaks clearly and just at the right pace. Thank you for this fantastic resource, Davide!! Keep recording!
Podcast veramente fantastico per coloro che studiano la lingua italiana. Sono uno studente avanzato che ascolta i podcast ogni giorno. Di questo sono proprio “podcast-dipendente”. Grazie mille Davide, sei veramente bravo
I love your Podcast and mostly how well you enunciate. You also don’t speak at record pace so I can understand each word, which does not happen often when I speak with my Italian friends who sometimes mumble their words. And finally you choose interesting subjects which makes it all interesting. So kudos to you! Noëlle
Mi piace molto questo Podcast. Lo trovo molto utile. Ho studiato il italiano da 8 mesi e stavo cercando un podcast per esercitare il mio ascolto. Era importante di avere acceso alla trascrizione per leggerla allo stesso tempo (in voce alta oppure nella mia mente).
Questo podcast è lo che stavo cercando. Il modo in cui gli episodi sono organizzate nel podcastitaliano.com website è bravissimo. Mi permette di ascoltargli secondo il mio livello.
Gracie Davide!
I’ve been studying Italian with once a week classes for a little over 8 months. Studying on my own is difficult especially with finding listening/reading exercises. This podcast is great because it not only provides the listening aspect but also the text to work on reading as well. It’s an excellent way to take grammar rules and see them applied in real time.
Strongly recommend!
I tried finding a podcast to learn Italian at a beginner/intermediate level after finishing Italian Rosetta Stone. This podcast is extremely helpful. I enjoy the fact that transcripts are mostly available. There’s a free forum of dialogue between two native speakers (one being the host) and there’s a club you can join for a small price if you want more. It’s helped me a lot and I have received compliments on italki on my level of Italian. I alway let the teacher know this podcast has been instrumental for me in developing this language. There’s a lot of content here for any level. It’s the best one in my opinion to learn Italian.
A great mix of language learning and regular conversation/speech. I’m probably a C1 but I still get good practice and reminders out of the intermediate and advanced episodes. And then the episodes where he (or he and Erica or a guest) just chat are a pleasure to listen to like any good podcast.
This is one of the best, if not the best, podcasts/sites to learn Italian. Relevant and interesting content, very useful vocabulary/expressions, very clear Italian. Davide has a very nice voice and Italian pronunciation that's enjoyable to listen to. He covers lots of different topics in Italian, so you're exposed to all kinds of Italian. I've learned a lot of spoken Italian from his podcasts/site/YouTube!
This is by far the best resource out there to listen to authentic Italian and to learn about Italian culture. The structure and content of these podcasts are beyond all praise. During these difficult times of COVID-19 this podcast has been the light in the darkness for me. Thank you so so much, Davide and Erika!
I have been listening to the podcast for the last 1 year and a half, and it has helped me a lot in developing my italian language skills. In addition to that, I the content is useful and it is very pleasant to hear it.
I began studying Italian decades ago, I'm married to an Italian, and I live part of the year in Italy, but I still am quickly lost in conversations, reading newspapers, or watching television, and I cannot remember all the rules of grammar. This podcast is perfect for me. I can usually understand everything, although sometimes I play sections several times to be sure I understand every nuance. The topics are always interesting. Often they address colloquial expressions that have been stumbling blocks for me in the past. I enjoy listening and look forward to hearing every one of them.
I’ve been using this incredible platform for almost a year now and I have to say that I am very satisfied with its contents. Kudus, of course, goes to its creator David. A man who is linguistically gifted (he speaks four or five languages) and with an empathetic approach towards his students/listeners. I highly recommend this podcast to those who are currently in a state of plateau and don’t seem to make any progress in Italian. This podcast, without a shade of doubt, is your gateway towards mastery.
D'accordo. This is truly the best Italian learning experience I have found, and I've been studying for a very long time. While I might not recommend it for beginners, I have found that it provides intermediate and especially the advanced speakers the opportunity to rapidly advance in comprehension. The episodes are always full of useful new information. I particularly those that focus on colloquial usage. Davide is, I find, always easy to understand, so I his episodes with Erika are generally even more enjoyable and challenging and a great way to experience a lively conversation. Grazie mille.
Terrific podcast aimed at all levels. Provides the opportunity to really improve listening skills, especially with the use of the transcriptions on the web site.
Grazie Davide ed Erika per tutto che ci avete insegnato! This is by far the best podcast I have ever come across for increasing Italian comprehension, learning important grammatical structures, all while listening to native Italian speakers speak in a clear and articulate way. You not only learn Italian, but you gain insight into thoughts on modern culture, etimologia di parole, and other significant topics from the point of view of two intelligent Italian young adults.
I can not recommend this podcast enough for anyone who wants to improve their Italian and have fun while doing it.
Grazie di tutto ancora, non vedo l’ora per la prossima puntata!

I found this podcast to be extremely useful to learn Italian. The topics discussed are interesting and all relate to Italy, linguistics, interviews with famous polyglots and many cultural insights with different categories of podcasts for each level. The transcripts on their website are helpful as well as they explain key words and phrases!
Grazie Davide!
Intelligent, well-recorded, interesting — Podcast Italiano is a must-listen for anyone working on their Italian! Poi, Davide ha una voce che rende piacevole l’ascolto. Grazie, Davide!
Davide mixes up the content of the podcast with interviews, casual discussions with Erika, videos, breakdowns of popular Italian music, and provides transcriptions and/or explanations of difficult words. I've tried a bunch of the other Italian language podcasts and this is the best by far.
Grazie mille, Davide!
I am subscribed to a dozen Italian language podcasts but this one is my "hands down" favorite. Davide and Erika are true professionals. Hats off to them!
Thank you for making these podcasts. I may only understand about 50 to 60 percent of the intermediate level ones but they have given me motivation to improve my Italian so that one day I can understand everything. I love the music analysis podcast, please make more. Grazie.
The podcasts are interesting, language is useful for conversation, transcription is available in Italian with difficult expressions translated to English. A pleasure and great way to improve one’s Italian. Grazie!!!!
Davide is a great italian teacher. I love the podcasts and have learned a lot. Grazie Davide per avermi insegnato così tanto! Non vedo l'ora dei prossimi podcast!
I love this podcast! It has such a great mix of content from interviews, informal discussions with Erika (love her!), and grammar/syntax lessons. Davide is a wonderful host who’s knowledgeable speaks in a very clear voice. Having regular content to listen to has been huge for my progress and I’m so grateful!!
