Wax On

Reviews For Wax On

To be up front, Wax On has an erratic release schedule to say the least. There can be months between episodes, but it is totally worth the wait. After all, Ken is a touring musician, and the podcast is an absolute bonus. Any day I wake up and refresh my podcast feed to see a new episode is a great day. If you enjoy any of Ken’s work (but especially Person L and Vacationer), Wax On feels like a window into his process and is a great way to expand your own tastes. Thanks to this podcast, my record collection has grown to include certain artists like Khruangbin, Shame, The Sidekicks, and Hurry among others that I don’t think I would have found on my own. Wax On really is like having that awesome friend that knows your tastes and makes the best recommendations. Give this podcast a shot if you’re into Ken’s stuff, but subscribe because Lina’s picks kill it every single time.
Wax On is my favorite podcast. Thank you for introducing me to the Philly Sound, Barry White, and Isaac Hayes among so many others. Super happy to hear a new episode last week. Hoping for more in the weeks to come. Thank you Ken and Lina. Keep ‘em coming!

Loved hearing the influences behind mindset. How did you get the bass sound inspired by the groove in Levitation? I’d love to try working on that sound.
Ken and Leena are my best friends they just don’t know it. I love the shows and I love the music and I have so many rocks to turn over now and explore. Thanks for making these!
Get the bean bag chair.
Great podcast, love to listen
Loving the podcast Ken! I work alone at night cleaning a school and your tracks and conversation keeps me sane. I love hearing new artists and likewise love hearing when we have the same tastes. Keep it comin! Oh and I feel like you all ready know this but you should spin Unraveling by Violents off the album Awake and Pretty Much Sober. I think you'll really appreciate Jeremy Larson's production and the string work on this album. -Derek
Song picks are dope! Less dialog, more music, please!!
Great positive podcast, getting me into new and old artists. Perfect host, perfect guests. Keep em comin!!!
Love the p cast! Huge fan of KV. Miss Lina has a butta voice too. Idea for future cast I would love... vacationer/person L music and a recap after each song of what was going on when you wrote the words. Dissection of lyrics. Vibes song recco I was on today: Feel the love-Rudimental UK

This podcast gives me the chills every time. And by chills I just mean it gets me chill af
Wax On is the perfect podcast to guide you through all our chilling needs. Just put it on and kick back, Kenny and Lina will take it from there! My recommendation for a track would be Kapput by Destroyer. ✌️
The best part about listening to vinyl is sharing info about the record with friends. This podcast does just that, even if you're listening by yourself. Love listening to this at work (at a record store) Check out Benji Hughes if you get the chance! ✌️
There is something to love in every genre of music and Ken Vasoli knows this. If you're seeking a new avenue for discovering music with commentary that is both refreshing and intelligent, Wax On is the go to podcast. Ken and Lina, I would strongly recommend Gliss Riffer by Dan Deacon (particularly the tracks Meme Generator and Mind On Fire).

Would love to see some bedtime mixes- back to back gems that are perfect for twilight hours.
Kenny is the ultimate groove plug
Love this podcast. Lots of different genres of music. If you wanna expand your horizons, give this a listen. It won't disappoint. Loved the one dedicated to House music. Ken and Lina, you should do a show on Reggae. That would be awesome. Cheers.
Kenny's new podcast is another example of his vast diverse talent. I have been a fan of his work since 2002 and throughout the years he never disappoints with any project he is taking on. Wax on is just another great example that no matter what he tackeles. You're always going to get a great project. Wax On tackeles the many genres that music allows. Kenny's tenured experience and way of talking about distinctive records or sounds will give you a great perspective on the many sounds that this creative world offers that may not land on the masses. Give this podcast a spin and I assure you will come out of it more open minded to whats out there.
Jump in and let Ken and lovely Ms. Lina take you on a musical journey. The best is when they pick a track you know you've heard sampled before and it sets you down a path of discovery. From classic Issac Hayes to upcoming Flamingosis, the podcast is all over the spectrum of heady beats and deep feels. Ken and Lina: Check out artist Takeshi Terauchi, album Nippon Guitars (it has a bonsai tree on the front with a blue banner up top)
A must listen podcast for the true music fan, particularly those looking to discover something new. I've been a huge fan of Ken Vasoli's music for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed hearing and hearing about the artists that have and continue to influence his music. I've had my ears opened to many artists I would never have checked out on my own. Ken and Lina - would love to hear your "top 10" tracks from artists that have toured with TSL, Person L and Vacationer. I know this ventures a bit from the podcast mandate, but is hopefully not too indulgent. Thanks so much!
The first ep. was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Can't wait to hear more.
