I grew up in the 90s. I remember when a lot of these topics happened, but didn’t know what happened behind the curtain. I find this podcast educational and interesting
Kathy can’t seem to be able not to inject her staunch leftist political beliefs in EVERY episode; she doesn’t even try to hide it. She will make any centrist or right leaning person a villain while celebrating criminal leftist idols. We came for the nostalgia not the propaganda. Give it a rest. As a Mexican, none of us use the buzzword LatinX. I’m not even right wing but the leftist slant is exhausting… she manages to inject a Woke angle in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.
As a product of the 90’s I love learning about this decade and all of the historical events I lived through but was too young to understand at the time. The only downside to this podcast is that you have to wait 2 weeks for a new episode!
I like this podcast however with the Donovan Bailey episode I thought it would’ve ended soon about half the time but it seems like a part of sports podcast episode was copied and pasted into the second half of the episode to make it longer. And there’s so much more to talk about and agrees with other reviewers about kinda being pushy with woke liberal content or views which isn’t needed. Would rate higher if it’s not a part of it
With the editing with the Candy episode there’s almost 6-8 minutes of blank empty audio at the end
How did the floods of ‘93 get missed? A large part of the Midwest was flooded. The storm on the east coast (which I don’t even remember) made it on the ‘93 podcast. The floods were national news!
What do we love most about the 90's? The music, the advancements, the culture, the relatively absent pervasiveness of wokeness, among other things. This podcast is well produced and covers lots of notable 90's events.
Unfortunately, like too many other things today, the host never misses a chance to inject all the usual off-the-shelf woke SJW talking points into topics which clearly didn't call for it. Are there any similar podcasts out there that discuss the topics without the tiring woke narrative? Please let it be so.
The content is good and detailed but they go out of their way to push a left-leaning political bias. It would be great if they just talked about the events in history and kept the personal political opinions out of a history podcast.
This podcast is EXCELLENT. Legitimate journalism with Canadian restraint. I learn so much about events I should have known more about, and about things I thought I knew a lot about. Some tough, serious episodes and some sweet walks down, memory lane. I want every decade to have a podcast just like this! THANK YOU!
This podcast proves that you do not need 2 podcasters bantering to make a podcast great. The voice is perfect and the discussion in a perfect pace to keep you listening. The topic choices are fantastic.
The 90’s was such a great decade. Sure there were negatives, but the latest times make me terribly nostalgic for the 1990’s. Great content and moves fast enough to keep interest.
Thank you Kathy for a great podcast! Yours is one that I always look forward to each time it is released. I love listening to them as I go for a run or travel.
Could you do a show on the 90s craze of POGs? As a child of the 90s I remember that was a huge deal and would love to hear some interesting info behind the rise and fall of the childhood game.
Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Host voice is easy to listen to and she keeps your attention the whole time. I grew up in the 90s and it’s been fun to relive its history. Host keeps opinions out of the news story and just tells the story. I’ve been learning a lot and having fun along the way.
Honestly not sure how this podcast hasn’t blown up yet.
Good for nostalgia however those that didn’t live thru the 90s should know that the way some of these accounts are presented can be highly biased. Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, many proper names are mispronounced which can be annoying especially since it’s clear that plenty of work is being done behind the scenes to write and produce the episodes.
Not only is this podcast well informed & entertaining, it should be taught & made required listening for all US & Canadian high school students when studying the 90’s. Kudos to Kathy Kenzora as well for her excellent read, keeping the stories informative & intriguing.
And those soundtracks mmm...they always fit right in with the topic, and it adds the perfect amount of ambience to the story 😍 👌. Especially the music for the Nickelodeon 🧡thanks so much for choosing this topic, Kathy, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Keep it up! 👍
I love this podcast as there are a lot of things I do remember about the 90’s but there are so many other topics she covers that I had no idea about. She does a great job of telling about the event and I absolutely love this podcast!
I enjoyed this show from the moment I first started listening to this podcast. I was a kid in the 90s, so I didn’t really get into much detail of big stories that happened. So this podcast is excellent of bringing back history and learning more about what happed. Maybe you could do a Nancy Kerrigan.
As said by someone before me, I was hooked from the start and have binged half the content within my first week. Not just nostalgic (although it very much is), but also highly researched and full of information concerning the story behind the story. Beautifully written, delivered and produced, and with absolutely fascinating content. Head and shoulders above similarly themed podcasts.
Love it! This was the best decade in the history of the world. Please talk about Empire Records, Mallrats, Clueless, and whatever other slacker movie you can dig up
Love love love this show!! So much nostalgia ❤️❤️❤️❤️ narrator is excellent, flow is great. Content choices are great. Could be a smidge longer.. otherwise amazing. Thanks for these!! Keep up the great work.
I binge listened to most all episodes! I particularly love the historical events ones. As a kid in the 90s I didn’t understand or know the full details on the events & its super interesting to me to go back now & get the rest of the story! Even my daughter (7 yrs old) likes listening to the child friendly ones & says, “She’s a really good storyteller!” Can you do a history of the 80s too?
