Reviews For Science & Futurism with Isaac Arthur

Interesting, immersive, and most excellent solution to insomnia. Makes my life better. -Charles
There is what humanity is now and there is what it must become. Which according to this podcast will be something far stranger and more powerful than what has been imagined in most of science fiction. The perfect antidote to generations of dystopian works.
You should be aware of the bill that Isaac’s wife is pushing in the Ohio state legislature. I can’t support this family anymore. It makes me want to puke.
I’ve been listening to SFIA since near the beginning of his YouTube channel. Considering he posts weekly, I’m always impressed with his ability to captivate on topics that would even seem dry. However, most topics are quite remarkable. With that said, I find myself thinking on various episodes throughout my day that makes my imagination run wild. It’s funny to think but a YouTube/podcast can effect your worldview. I’d say SFIA will have a very positive effect.
I’m a painter, not a scientist in any way or form, and this futurism podcast is one of my favorite things to listen to. Mr. Arthur doesn’t dumb it down for my dumb a55 and I appreciate that! Although I’m not a science person, I am someone who likes to be awed. Mind-expanding in the best way, Mr. Arthur’s lectures are absolutely fascinating, provoking my imagination and challenging my understanding of how the universe works. I’ve binged about half the episodes, but the one that brought me here to post an overdue 5-star review is the March 2020 show on Zoo Hypothesis, which I had to listen to twice (and probably need to hear a third time). Still picking up the pieces of my brain after that one! Thanks so much for the incredible material.
Isaac really uses realistic science to explain the concepts which can be understood by people like me who do not have a physics background. Love the content. Frank Sasso-Anxiety Therapist Podcast
Very solid when discussing real world engineering and hard science concepts. Less so when extending those ideas into theoretic futures. The host’s lack of understanding/imagination when it comes to social, economic and political theories is problematic when imagining possible futures. It’s all endless corporate and military expansion in a humanistic vacuum. Think Niven meets Warhammer meets Musk.
Isaac has such a wise and thoughtful worldview towards the future, and that worldview has inspired me to work harder towards creating it as a VR developer. He and his channel are a true gem. Always remember to get a drink and a snack with each episode ;)
I’ve been listening watching/listening to Isaac for a couple years while fighting cancer. It’s like my outlet and channel to get lost a d get away. I hope he does this for many years to come.
I have been an SFIA fan for years! If you like science and/or sifi this is the show for you!
I didn’t even know I was into this until I came across Isaac. This guy leaves no stone unturned and thinks of answers to problems I’ve never considered nor heard anyone else explain. Five solid stars.
I credit Isaac Arthur with 20% of my inspiration to go back to school for engineering, after working for ten years as a sensei. The rest was getting sober/zen practice, the IPCC report, and having nieces and a nephew whose futures I care deeply about. I would love to help design the first O’Neill cylinders, but even if I just help lay the groundwork in any way, I’ll be happy.
HOLY FUDGE I LOVE THIS SHOW. Its probably the only thing that is keeping me from being really really depressed.
In between moving galactic structures and spawning super-intelligent species, I like to take a load off and listen to a SFIA podcast. They are intriguing and enthralling, every week!
Isaac Arthur’s science and futurism YouTube & podcast presents a delightful foray into science fiction mega-engineering and how to make it happen. Arthur is well versed in engineering and presents concepts like ringworlds and O’Neill cylinders with a lot of satisfaction. Where the show is much weaker, however, is in sociology, political theory, and so forth—his assumptions are frequently problematic and lacking in historical awareness. He should consider consulting experts outside his sense of expertise when hypothesizing the future sociologically.
I’ve been listening to Isaac’s YouTube channel now for a while now and he’s great, but I found that the podcast version is more convenient at night because I can turn my phone screen off and iTunes still runs, unlike YouTube! Keep up the good work man!
Isaac and his crew put together an excellent podcast each week! Educational and fun, this is where our mind finds hope, where wings take dream!
This podcast is one of my favorites, I love Issac and his content so much.
Isaac does a fantastic job discussing a wide variety of science-based topics, ranging from space exploration to earth science. If I were to offer one constructive observation, it would be that frame of reference for many of the discussions is the far future. I would like to see some more topics that are slightly more near term and practical to our rapidly changing world (delivery robots, climate change, AI in healthcare, etc.). Thank you and keep up the great work!
Superb content.
Title says it all! Most amazing podcasts! Thank you!
These are the biggest ideas in science. Every episode stretches my brain so far. I can’t get enough.

Isaac Arthur’s work is always incredibly thoughtful. I love how very grounded his stuff is without being closed off to more radical scenarios and theories. Fun and thought provoking, thank you!
Great content, so very interesting and often mind blowing concepts delivered in a relatable way. Listening to and watching the YouTube content has made a huge fan of futurism!
Ride or die with IA, the best at what he does.
I have a lot of favorite podcasts but this guy is at the top.
Mind blowing stuff.
Deductive reasoning that borders on clairvoyance!!!! One smart dude!!
My favorite podcast by far
I’ve been watching the Youtube series for several years now. Rewatching almost all of it to be honest. It is a great series and I genuinely look forward to each new episode.
Very informative podcast with a subtle blend of humor.
Great podcast and YouTube channel. Covers pretty much all topics of futurism and space travel and their implications, complicated enough to engage if you aren't a sci-fi normie, but accessible enough for said normies.
Wasn't interested.
Probably the most insightful, refreshing and intelligent technology commentary out there.
Not a single celeb-scientist comes even close to Isaac Arthur. I cannot recommend this podcast enough.
