Hopefully not of the series. I hope the finale has lived up to the mostly good season 2. I did find it funny how the penultimate episode was basically everyone (read: Andy and Esme) being like "I still follow Reeva just because of you, Lorna. My loyalty to her cause is all because of you."
I didn’t read much of AoA. I mostly know Blink from The eXiles. I hope she comes back more like that version. I’m done with this meek, unsure Blink. I want the fearsome warrior.
Love the show discussion and theories (and Capri Sun - hilarious), but holy hell was the sound and volume a problem this week. Don’t know if it’s because it was recorded in a different location or what, but it was nearly unlistenable this week. Get that sorted so I can go back to laughing along with you guys.
I have no one to discuss this show with irl; it’s always great listening to you all the next day.
Quick note - the inventor of dynamite didn’t receive the Nobel prize; he is Alfred Nobel. He started the Nobel prizes, and the family’s wealth from dynamite still funds the Nobel prizes.
This is an awesome podcast, love the hosts. I wish it wasn’t on Sundays cause I’m usually not able to listen until after I watched the next episode. But that’s okay I’ll survive lol.
Love y’all Callie
This is the water cooler talk I have been waiting for regarding X-men and other mutant shows. Glad to see Michael Young back in a podcast (miss him from Jedi Alliance). Flashlight and Syrup are indicative of the wit of this show. Looking forward to more as the season goes on.
Apparently some listeners are turned off because scheduling pushes the after show a few days after the tv program is aired. Huh. I’d like the hosts to bring up the notion of passing privilege, the degree that it exists among the mutants in the context of the show, the missed opportunity that the show is not using a character with “ugly” makeup as a principal character, and why we can’t have an actor who isn’t tween heartthrob attractive as a recurring character on a show where we root for people who are different.
You guys are freaking incredible! So great to hear both Michael & Stephen again since the ending of Sleepy Hollow & Jedi Alliance. I really love the panel, you guys love this show fairly & it's peaceful to hear. I'm a hug fan of this show, very surprising giving the fact that they create mutants for the show even though we have thousands from the comics that they could have explored. Nonetheless I'm loving what I'm hearing, keep the puns coming.
Happy day! Thanks for your review! I am a huge fan of you guys! I love hearing your wonderful and insightful opinions on my favorite show. Thank you so much for supporting quality shows! You all are perceptive and think outside the box which helps me to think about these fictional characters in wonderful ways. You definitely challenge me intelligently. So, I applaud you for that. So, thanks guys for Geeking out about my favorite show. You guys rock!
I was thinking about "The Dallas Incident" didn't the Xmen go missing into the Siege Perilous while on a mission in Dallas? And could we see Forge and other 2nd tier Mutants and Villians i.e. The Morlocks and Arcade?
Hey gifted panel, what if the reason why the X-Men and brotherhood went missing is because they all went to Genosha and rumors that Genosha might show up in Dark Pheonix also gives a hint of where in the timeline the show takes place in. You guys are awesone, keep up the great work! 5 stars
Y'all are even more silly than the pilot after show, but yeah...I'm so happy y'all like the show the way I do and are having fun with it. It's the good place to be with a show.
And oooh, that Dreamer-wink. Well done, sir. ;)
I really love you guys! You are so into this show as much as me!! I love that you all theorize and really think about this show. I wish I was there to converse with you about the show. Please keep up the good work!
This panel is hilarious! I'm really liking The Gifted and I enjoy hearing your insights. Whether they are positive or negative I really like your honest reviews. You guys rock!
P.S. I really hope Sentinel Services finds that mutant named One Star! He deserves to be in some underground black sight. 😉
The crew does a great job of bringing insight, fun, and expert commentary. They don’t talk over each other and the witty banter flows freely. It’s like a group of fun friends getting together and talking about the show after a watch party. It’s a great listen!
Y’all see the play on words. You are gifted podcasters that do a podcast on the gifted. PUNS!!!!
Cool podcast. I love this show and love your thoughts on it.
Thanks for being rad.
I’m loving this group of super fans lined for the panel. Ste’phen and Michael I follow from other shows, and I’m so glad to have them on this panel! Such a STRONG premiere; one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks for dissecting the show with me every week!
I can already tell I’m going to love this show. People rarely what the shows I do so it’s nice to have someone to talk to about it. Even if sometimes you can’t respond.
