Roast and Reason: A Coffee Podcast

Reviews For Roast and Reason: A Coffee Podcast

I love this podcast. I am a new roaster. If I end up going big and hiring staff, this podcast is going to be part of the training.✌️
This guy is very informative and very knowledgeable about coffee. I would give this more stars if I had the option.

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast. I have no experience in roasting coffee, and don’t plan to start until I gain some basic knowledge. The content is perfect for someone starting out or for a self proclaimed coffee pro.
I love this podcast, I’m looking forward to more! The host is intelligent and able to converse in a manner that leaves the listener well informed, not scratching heads unable to keep up with information. All the episodes are well researched and so relevant if you are into coffee.
Really enjoy the variety of topics covered. Well researched and organized. Great job at looking at hidden truths about the coffee industry.
Fantastic. Well done! Very organized and informative. A trove of detailed information on everything coffee.
This is one of my favorites out right now. I’ve been into coffee for a while so some of this I know, but some of it like roast process I don’t know much about and find very interesting! It’s great to see such a high quality product come out of this and I look forward to listening to more.
I’m not sure what drives this guy’s passion to enlighten me on everything coffee, but I appreciate his clear end entertaining manner!
I just started to listen to this podcast and Doc is very down to earth and very easy to listen to. Please keep it up. Tim
Andrew does a fantastic job walking through coffee and the many concpets around it. If you like coffee than this is something you will need to subscribe to. We enjoy listneing to this podcast!
Andrew has a plethora of knowledge surrounding coffee that includes everything from water sources and home roasting to history and where to buy. If you're looking for a fun and fascinating take on one of the nations favorite beverages you're in the right place. Thanks for putting out such a wonderful show Andrew - keep up the great work!
I’m brand new to home roasting and this whole series is wonderful both as a primer and deep dive Into the world of coffee from farm to cup:-) Thanks and keep them coming!!!
As a teacher myself, I really appreciate how great of a teacher Andrew is. Of course he's passionate about coffee, but he's also just as passionate about bringing other people into the world of coffee. For the past few weeks I've stopped all my other podcasts and audiobooks to catch up on all these episodes from the beginning. And, more importantly, after years of drinking Starbucks dark roast with whole milk and Godiva chocolate powder added in, a couple weeks ago I brewed my first ever cup of light roast that I drank black. It was an Ethiopian yirgacheffe, and I sort of freaked out because I didn't know coffee could taste that good, all fruity and winey, and I didn't know that I had the ability to drink coffee black. :)
Andrew provides a lot of relable information about specialty coffee that is directed towards the coffee enjoyer, rather than for people within the industry. His episodes about origins are my favorites. His enthusiasm and total nerdiness about coffee are terrific and infectious. This is a top podcast for home roasters and specialty coffee enthusiasts.
I recently got into drinking coffee black. Before I was more into mocha lattes. This show has helped me enjoy drinking coffee in its pure form. It gives a lot of applicable advise. It’s not snobbish or too geeky. How the topics are organized reminds me of my other fave podcast Wine for Normal People which makes it very useful to us ordinary mortals. Keep up the good work.
I really appreciate all the information included in the episodes. From the basics to the relationship between coffee and health. I'm going through and binging all of the episodes now.
Started listening because I’m considering starting a roastery. This podcast is extremely interesting and informative, and I’ve found myself listening to some episodes multiple times so I don’t miss any details. Awesome show, looking forward to more episodes!
He breaks down the concepts in a good way to help the audience understand!
This dude should be the professor of coffee university. He knows a lot and is very informative.
As a coffee enthusiast, I sometimes struggle to articulate my passion for everything coffee. It's not just the 800+ flavor compounds, the parameters and techniques leading to an optimal extraction, the various processing methods and stages, the varieties, or the micro-climate at the origins. It's not just the vibe and interaction while enjoying coffees, the many hands that touched coffees, or sustainability for the coffee farmers or environments. You see why my friends were overwhelmed. Andrew does the exact opposite. He breaks down each piece of information in a digestible and surely enjoyable fashion, with a logical flow that connects the bits together. He cleverly omits unnecessary details to avoid potential confusion. It’s a great podcast for coffee drinkers at every stage, and I can’t wait to learn more about coffee!
Love me some fresh coffee . I start with my coffee 5:00 am till 7: 00 can’t get enough fresh coffee💗
I didn’t know how much I didn’t know about coffee. The presenter keeps it light and fun. Nice job!
I'm so excited about this podcast! I LOVE coffee & know I can enjoy it more by knowing more. Andrew makes it easier to understand and I'm psyched to learn about coffee from someone who loves it! Can't wait for more episodes!
This podcast is rich in knowledge and bold in topic. Specialty coffee hasn’t become mainstream yet and the host is leading the charge to inform and prepare us for the coming roast revolution! I’m excited to be able to make an informed decision the next time I visit my gourmet grocery store’s coffee section or order a cup of joe at our town’s new craft coffee house. Thanks Andrew!
