I love the show. Very informative and insightful. I also understand needing to pay for it with adds but recently it feels like adds are on repeat or 2 min of adds for a 4 min show.
This was a great source for quick updates on what’s happening across the EV industry. It looks like it has gone away with no episodes since the end of October, and no update at all from the host. Website seems to be gone as well if you click the link below.
Long time listener, love the coverage, love the content. But dig a little deeper into what we as UAW workers lost in 2008/2009 to keep these companies afloat and what we have gotten back. And how mush the CEO wages have increased when the corporations weren’t ‘profitable’.
End of March: And just like that, the show has been MIA for almost 2 weeks.
March 2023: Just added a star. The show seems to be consistent again. There was a month gap in Jan/Feb but since then, it has been delivered every day. Dec 2022: I really liked this show, but it’s spotty at best. There’s a 2 week chunk missing from Nov-Dec, and it always arrives late. It will post several days at once from the week before and never catches up. Only once since I’ve been listening was the gap addressed (sickness). Otherwise he carries on like we didn’t skip a week.
This podcast is excellent at covering the latest EV news topics but the pro-EV bias hurts the quality. A recent example is the coverage on the Florida legislation concerning EVs on the highway during emergencies, and the concern with them running out of power then blocking traffic. This podcast presented it as being no worse than the problem of an ICE car running out of gas, but that’s not true at all, since emergency services and roadside services such as AAA have five gallon gas cans ready to top people off. That capability is not widely available for EVs at this point.
Love listening to Martyn’s commentary and summary of all the latest news in the world of EV’s. Enjoy his perspective and passion for the industry. Keep up the good work!
Great content but continues to arrive 5-7 days late in blocks of 3-6. To call this daily is a misnomer. The 4-min summary is useless after a few days. Whether this is a deliberate effort to frustrate fans into patreon needs to be confirmed or not.
Martyn knows EV’s, gives fair appraisals and is not given to hype. He also sounds like a nice person and his content choices are relevant. Ever changing subject is well served by podcasting and he’s good at it.
This show Should be called EV sometimes news or EV maybe news. I don’t get episodes everyday last episodes right now is from Saturday! Good information like the host but it’s not a daily show. I’ll update my review once it is actually a daily show. Also stop apologizing for going to long! Podcast are suppose to be long form media. I would rather have all the info than having the show cut short. All my podcast I subscribe to are an hour plus. Very good show and it is entertaining but these are my gripes. Thanks!
I do not profess to understand all that is said but I look forward to each of the podcasts and have gained a great deal of information regarding EVs. My wife and I are committed to making our next car an all EV one this trove of I formation will make that transition much easier.
Martin Lee does a very nice job putting this together. His style is really easy to listen to and he has enough humor is his podcast to make even the driest subjects interesting.
Martyn Lee and EV News Daily are the better choice for being informed on all things EV. As a follower of the international auto industry, Martyn is a part of my daily dive into the news that I crave.
Martyn is a great voice commenting on an essential industry. He is brilliant, entertaining, and has his eye on the world's progress toward decarbonization. Thank you Martyn!
Martyn provides a balanced review of all vendors with good or bad news. Certainly with more focus on England and EU, but a good amount of America and Asia. Quite entertaining also, I never miss an episode.
podcast gets 5 stars. MyEV.com gets negative stars because the took with out permission (also called theft) an add from fb marketplace and put it on their website. but w/o any contact info. i’ve tried for 3 months (calls/emails) to get them to give me access to the add or to take it down. they even have my VIN that they looked up from my tag number. VERY SHADY…
Good on Martin for cranking this show out. He’s a great listen as he’s engaging, passionate, and open and fair in his analysis of EV related pressers and news clips.
It’s a joy tuning in even though I don’t own a car nor am I actively searching for one. Keep up the great work and sleuthing for relevant stories.
Love the podcast and Martin as the host. Short 10-30 min episodes that’s are very informative and helpful. Seems to be inconsistent with uploading the episodes as days will go by without an episode then I’ll get 5-10 that suddenly pop up in the podcast feed. Not sure what’s going on with that, but this is the only show I listen to that has that issue as the episodes are clearly recorded everyday as advertised. Seems like it could be tech issues, other than that this is one of my favorite EV podcasts!
I love Martin’s info and show, this is a great little pod cast I listen every day! Keep up the good work, I bought a EV with the help of this show, but I will keep on listening!
I’ve been listening for about a year and a half and this is one of my favorite podcasts. At first I thought , wait this is someone in the UK and I live in Minnesota (USA), how will this relate to me? Very well it turns out. I have gained a much better perspective of the global EV marketplace and really enjoy the variety of stories. I highly recommend this podcast.
Martin produces a HIGHLY professional podcast! His dedication to understanding content is unmatched. He is insightful and adds appropriate commentary. As a bonus, he’s a funny guy! Great work!
Great show very informative. Live in the US and a little jealous of some of the cars Nott available here the Renault Zoey. Glad you are back Martin and doing better
This is the best electric vehicle podcast currently available. The host does an amazing job researching all of the current news and making it available in less than 20 minutes.
Haha Martyn, this is a joke from show #831 timestamp: 23:30
(You said for us to say “some words” on a review.🤣)
Seriously though. I HIGHLY reccomend this show to anyone interested in EVs, no matter what country you are listening from.
I also recommend the live YouTube show Martyn is on, called “EV Lounge Live”, that is live every Sunday at 7:00 PM in the UK, 2:00 PM eastern, and 3:00 AM in Japan.😉😉
You also wanted to know where some your listeners are.
(You have 2 teenage listeners from Ohio.😉)
I haven’t gotten a ev yet. Been looking at Zero motorcycle (motorbike) as the only vehicles I have are motorcycles Yamaha Xmax 300 and Triumph tiger explore. Love the show learning so much. My next motorbike will be electric! Tried both a Harley livewire and Zero sr, sr/s. Saving every penny
Started listening after buying a Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid. I wasn’t even necessarily looking to buy an electric vehicle. I had Hondas in the past I liked and thought it was better financially than an all gas (ICE) vehicle. Very entertaining Podcast with a lot of interesting information about EVs and sustainable energy. I sort of became obsessed with EVs and other environmental issues after listening and driving mine mostly in EV mode. My wife then ended up buying a full EV... and we love both cars. I still enjoy the podcast and keeping up with what’s going on with EVs.
