I am always looking for a new interesting podcast and from the 1st to the last I was fascinated! Absolutely love the questions and how they connect other people to help find a solution. Please please continue to produce!!
This podcast is incredible! The topics and participants are incredibly interesting, and each episode provides really valuable tools for interpersonal communication.
I love this podcast and wish they would come out with more episodes soon! Each one features very relatable problems and then explores very interesting solutions coming from the most unusual circumstances. Each case is warm, compelling, and deeply human. I can’t wait to listen to more.
Binged the first season of this podcast in one sitting. Had me enthralled and also smiling ear-to-ear. I learned a lot about psychology, science, business and being human.
I absolutely love the mix between telling peoples stories in comparison and how they relate to each other. The music is a great mood setter and the host is great at respecting the callers while also telling the story. I’m really hoping they do a season 2!
I just binge listened all of these to now realize there hasn’t been a new episode for a few years. I’d love if they started making these regularly. They are great stories with helpful advice for all listeners.
I knew of Charles Duhigg from his book and I thought this was gong to be more life advice but this podcast turned out to be SO much more. He starts with situations that people are stuck in, trying to figure out how to overcome their struggle and using lessons from unexpected places to apply tactics. I was hooked and binged all the episodes this Saturday!
The alcoholism one was painful - not because of the ravages of the disease - but because it insisted on trudging through the slow and laborious resolution a faulty /misguided premise.
We didn’t spend all that time getting to something profound.
The lesson was to stop misconstruing The 12 steps to mean that you must dump all your dirty laundry on anyone who takes a mtg with you. Good Lord.
Be normal. Problem solved.
Fabulous podcast esp Episode The Talk. Understanding how a cult manipulates information to gain control of its members and then the discussion explaining effective strategies to help people leave the cult/deprogramming is very interesting in light of our political climate. Gives a whole new understanding on ways to help people who, even when faced with the truth - continue to believe the “con man”. Very very thought provoking .
I love this. Have you ever learned something and thought how did I not know this sooner? Why doesn’t everyone know this or have this help? This podcast is like people sharing those kinds of stories and it’s stuff that can help me have a better life and be a better member of our world.
Good idea but poorly executed. The stories are minimally interesting. I have to unsubscribe. Gimlet n Wondery know podcasting. Only the Daily seems good from Nyt.
This show illuminates the joy of bringing creativity and connection and our capacity to serve one-another... to the opportunity of our lives. Even when those opportunities look like challenge/impossible. Maybe even, especially so.
Only problem is there are only 5 episodes! Please make more!!! I’m so grateful.
Great host, great topics & great stories- everything I want in a podcast. I binge listened the entire playlist in a day or two. PLEASE GIVE US MORE!!!!
I am absolutely enjoying this podcast and I think I could find it helpful. I love the honesty, non-judgmental environment, and how it melds two genres - personal story and self-help. I find a lot of self-help to a little woo-woo and a lot smug, but this is neither. It’s just people helping people.
This podcast is my favorite. I love how parallels are drawn from two completely different problems in entirely different worlds, then you see how solutions can be applied. It's creative problem solving and truly thinking out of the box. Please bring it back!!
This wonderful podcast looks at solving problems in such a unique way. After an episode ends, I feel happy and like I can utilize the advice in my own life. It keeps my interest throughout. Hope there will be many more episodes!!
I haven’t seen a new episode in some time and I look forward to more. I generally workout to podcasts and I found myself running farther so I listen longer to this podcast. Sheer awesomeness; helps get my brain seeing things differently to solve a problem in a creative way.
I appreciate how this podcast takes successes and things that work for a certain person or group and helps a person in need adapt these successes to help them overcome a difficulty. Even with a heavier topic like helping a person tackle a serious conversation about racist remarks, the podcast does a great job of promoting useful and positive dialogue. By the way, It's not all about heavy topics! It features people of different backgrounds and ages with various issues and concerns. I can't wait for the next episode!
