I’m a buoy Homeric geek, and have created my own long complex character and chronology spreadsheet. It so confirming to meet my people and been seen. I don’t agree with everything I hear on this, but I’m totally loving it. I’m a late arriver to this. THANKS!
Just reading the reviews with the haters make my head hurt. 1) It’s fine that this podcast is more focused on girls rather than boys. They get all the attention in Greek myths bcuz the writers are boys. The podcast description even says that they are trying to bring a wider perspective to the audience about woman. There are many great heroes who where women-Atalanta, Cyrene, Otrera. 2) there are many versions of the story. They are all technically correct. So stop complaining about it. 3) WHY IS EVERYONE SAYING THAT THEY ARE A FIFTH GRADER!? It is so annoying and stale after 2 comments. That is just a show off. (What if someone said they were a fourth grader?? Like me?? 😒😑 4) You’re doing great! Keep it up 👍
You are doing great, Ignore the haters who get upset that you focus on women and not the male gender and that gets there egos upset, also ignore the people who think there is only one version of Greek mythology and not all of them are the same because it’s traditionally an oral history. All in all you guys are doing great, keep up the good work. ♥️btw I’m a freshman in high school
It’s a great podcast but just a few problem
1. Do more research(some of the stories are altered)
2. A lot of girls(do more myths with guys to)
That’s it really.
Hi guys I am also only in fifth grade and I love greek mythology so much and I am just about to listen to this podcast heard good things about it hopefully it’s good OK bye!!!
I’ve always loved Greek mythology and listening to this podcast has made me very happy I’m glad you do I wish you would post more but other then that I love this podcast
1. Zeus chose Paris not the goddesses
2. You took so long in the beginning
3. Look it up more please
4. Don’t change the story
5. Disappointed
So I am in fifth grade and we’ve been working on Greek mythology. We did it to were we are one of the characters and I got chosen to be Aphrodite! You totally changed the story!!!! Plus just because Helen wasn’t born yet doesn’t matter. You see a lot of them were older that a lot of people they were married to. Like Zeus he is married to a lot of people and chances are they weren’t all the same age as a god!!!!! PLEASE LOOK IT UP A LITTLE MORE!!!! 😡
I know nothing about Greek mythology but was looking for something to listen to before my travels to the Greek islands next week. Great podcast. Beautifully told! I’ll listen to all that are available
She does an amazing job. I love how she paints a picture. I eagerly wait the next episodes. This is definitely a 5 star podcast. I'm a big fan and subscriber.
I like Janell’s voice, her readings of these women’s lives give me chills and bring me to tears. Very good!
Although Janell has spoken about her life, her father being in the military, she does so apropos of the life of Penelope or the other women. She speaks about “the art of waiting” which resonates with me.
This podcast is nothing like those cheap podcasts where the narrators think we are interested in their personal lives or likes and spend the first ten minutes talking about what they drank or did and laughing shrilly.
Thank you for a job greatly done!
This podcast presents Greek mythology in such an engagaing way! The host's passion is contagious, and I always learn something new after having listened!
I’m so glad you found this podcast where I share my passion and obsession with Greek myth with you. Making the epic timeline brought so many realizations to the stories we all know and love. As I research and write the Homeric Chronicles, I have all these thoughts about the characters, I just had to share with you. I hope you enjoy :)
