Inn Between

Reviews For Inn Between

But when will the new season come out
The VO were amazing & the story was unique. The story is still worth listening to, but I’m just not enjoying the 2nd group as much. The first group had obvious chemistry & humorous. I’m just not digging the 2nd group nearly as much.
Love the vibe and storytelling of this audio drama! Perfect for getting some inspiration before a D&D session or just listening with a cup of tea. 10/10!
This podcast seems like filler for another story. Episode 1 sets up the adventurers to go fight a dragon and save a princess, and episode 2 starts with them bickering after they dealt with the dragon. A similar setup happens in ep 2, and then three comes around and again, the adventure is skipped for a bickering recap in episode 3. I wanted to listen to the adventures, not the recaps
The cutest, most wonderful show where you can end up selling your soul to a demon, hands down !! The voice talent in this show is OVERWHELMINGLY GOOD, & the writing is so dramatic & fantastical in all the ways you want a fantasy to be, without ever being cold or bleak. If you want an ensemble fantasy to fall in love with, listen now !!!

5/5

simple understandable and sooo cute. Very good characters its the type of group u immediately like
This podcast will rope you in and never let go. It’s on of those that you can listen 10 times (I’m at 15) and still be just as surprised by each and every thing that happens
This podcast is awesome!! I listen to it with my whole family. Hannah, you rock!! This is a great podcast to listen to together. I love ALL of you guys. I want to be a patron but I’m too young. I’m so excited for season 3!!!!! I just listened to the newest episode, and I LOVE the crew, even though it’ll be sad to say goodbye to the gang. I know some of the people who do voices in season 3! Love, a tall fan 💖 Melting 💖 💖 Bettybuns 💖
Inn Between is a beautiful labor of love. This fantasy story skips the battles and gets right down to the emotional connections of the adventuring party. Its all the conversations that happen in between battles. Think D&D with the fat of combat trimmed off, just leaving the meat of role play. Very funny, with lots of meta jokes, and lovable characters that you’re gonna fall in love with instantly. As well as extra bonus points for the queer representation. The voice acting is wonderful despite the just passable audio quality and sometimes on the nose sound design (it gets better with time as all podcasts do). Its short yet I would say more emotional gripping then most long form actual play podcasts. (This is not an actual play podcasts to be clear, completed scripted fiction.) Honestly, its in my top 10 favorite podcasts right now. If you like narrative driven D&D like Dungeons and Daddies or The Adventure Zone, then you need to listen to Inn Between.
It's a cool story that avoids the combat that bogs down some actual play podcasts. Unique characters that can be used to inspire adventurers in your own campaign.
Lots of feelings and excitment in each episode. Characters are well developed throughout each episode.
I have never been so glad to stumble onto a little podcast like this one. Short episodes, but they get to the heart of what I love about this genre. No four hour long combat encounters here! Just the story of five adventurers who learn the meaning of family.
A misfit group of adventures band together to accomplish the towns biggest quest! listen as the become a stronger & more loyal group of Questers become friends! Get a glimpse of the action & a lot of the underlying emotions Questers feel between their epic adventures! FRIENDSHIP YO!
listened to both seasons in 2 days and I’m excited to hear season 3 is in the works! This show was so funny and I thought the concept was so clever. The characters were delightful and well acted. Probably going to relisten immediately. Became a patreon donor too! I want there to be more content like this in the world.
Well-made and extremely funny, with great characters!!
Right off the bat, the premise is wonderfully original and is pulled off spectacularly. I never feel like I’m missing any action, even though the show takes place entirely between adventures, and the format never feels forced. The story is engaging and well-paced, always moving forward, and the episodes are short enough that I never feel bored halfway through. The characters are all lovely and distinct, with fleshed-out personalities and flaws. And—and here’s the kicker—none of them are static. They all develop and grow as the series progresses, each of them becoming better people as they come to rely on each other. I literally JUST heard about this show last week and I’ve already made it through every episode at least twice. I listen to it when I’m happy, I listen to it when I’m sad, I listen to it when I’m stressed... I’ve never had a show become a Comfort Show for me so fast. It is fun, heartfelt, and entirely too easy to get wrapped in like a warm blanket.
A character driven fantasy adventure! I love hanging out with these adventurers during their downtime, and it’s great to hear how they all evolve and grow together
Love Love Love this show!! It’s funny with writing that really explores the depth of the characters. Great Show!
This is a great idea for a podcast, especially for folks like me who get real bored by all that dice-rolling interrupting the good parts of your standard actual-play show.
I never played DND growing up but I really enjoyed the world building and story planning aspects of the game. This podcast does a great job fusing the two and really speaks to the parts of the game I always enjoyed. I’m looking forward to where the series goes next!
What a brilliant premise! As an amateur DND player it's so great to have a story about what the heroes are like after the battle, when they're just being people. These characters have so much dimension to them, I enjoy this show so much!
If you're a fan of tabletop RPGs, high fantasy, or just want to have a good time, Inn Between is a must listen - the characters are fleshed out and well-portrayed, with strong relationships, there's a lot of in-jokes for people familiar with the genre but not at the expense of a solid story that'll still give you feelings, and the episodes are short enough to easily fit in no matter how busy your schedule is. Give it a listen!
I love the idea behind this one: the time in between quests when relationships are built and characters are developed. It's a lot of fun with a lot of heart and intrigue.
The acting can leave much to be desired -- at times it is over-the-top and at times it's too flat for the situation, but the overall show is fun to listen to! UPDATE: The more I listen, the more I love this show, so I've decided to redo my review because it's definitely a 5-star show!
Inn Between is really good, everybody. It’s so good. By its nature, a lot of things have happened between each episode, so it’s really easy to listen to as it comes out, but it’s also great to binge and get all of that good character development at once. If you love a show where a bunch of strangers becomes weird friends become a family? This is that! This is the show. Alternate review: Tessa is out there trying to run a nice inn and everybody keeps coming in with combat ailments and bringing skeletons to the bar when they don’t even have stomachs to drink with but they’re all paying well so she lets it slide, excellent business management, five stars
A funny and heartfelt AD about all the best bits between D&D-esque adventures - recounting battles, dragging out backstories from each other, and sharing drinks with friends. Absolutely lovely dynamics between the party members!
This show plays with the structure of episodic media in a way that I've wanted to see for a long time, and it does it really well! I'm already charmed by the characters after only a few episodes, very good work all around. I'm excited to see where the story goes!
Stumbled upon this AD today and gave it a listen and I’m glad I did! Well written and acted. Can’t wait for more!!!
