Dennis Prager’s Fireside Chats are a must listen. He offers a perspective that is educated, well thought out and articulate. If only everyone would close their mouths and simply listen the world would be a much better place. Chat #203 with Park Yeon-mi is one that should be a required listen in all high schools, even before college age. Knowledge brings enlightenment to those who listen.
Age 12 from Orlando, Florida. Hello Sir, my name is Cooper. I love listening to fireside chats and I love your views on religion and morals. I found out about you through the Michael Knowles show. I am a Traditional Latin Mass Catholic and an Opera Singer in Opera Orlando and to love classical music. I was wondering, what do you recommend for a young boy to read or look into to grow and wisdom and knowledge. I would like to become as wise as you and would be delighted to hear your thoughts. Also, I am homeschooled and have trouble to make friends with any boys my age.(Most of my friends are retired). I want to make friends but I want to keep my values and morals and not corrupt myself and that is hard with the youth of this century. Any advice? Thank you Sir!
Who wouldn’t enjoy Dennis’ lighthearted manner handling some serious and not so serious topics? My husband and I listen together while walking the dogs.
What happened to episode 311? Taboo number?
Great commentary by Dennis and his occasional guests. I really enjoy the life lessons and the banter with his dogs. Rest in Peace, dear Otto, you will be sorely missed. Dennis, keep fighting against tyranny.
This is a must for all children and their parents They don't have to agree with everything that his says But it very valuable for them to hear and discuss The morals and truth being revealed might help the young and old alike What a great man Want proof The immoral, atheist, and those with hate in their heart Are trying their best to stop young and old from listening to his wisdom
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. Respect to you Mr. Prager for the work you and the work everyone at Prager U brings to all…all of those willing to explore a balanced and healthy approach to life!
I think its harmful to regard and classify this bigotry as educational. Someone might stumble upon this and take anything this dingus says as something that maybe true. Every rich white man wants a podcast with their opinions- fine but dont label it as educational in anyway.
Hi, my name is Jonathan from New York and Dennis is the smartest person IK, always shares wisdom to everyone even if there a 14 year old christian like me. I always end up writing a lot of notes. Thanks for everything! Also I have a question, what’s the difference between bragging and sharing your victories??
I don’t always agree with Dennis but I usually do and even if I disagree I can understand his logic. It is great to hear commentary and opinion from someone who values happiness and decency as guidance for living
This podcast is an off the cuff commentary which is relevant even if listened to out of order. A friendly yet serious format, rich in wisdom with a touch of humor. He’s a great man, who is worthy of being listened to, even if you may not agree with everything he says.
I’ve listened to almost every episode of the Fireside Chat. This show has opened my mind so much and I often find myself quoting Dennis to the people in my life.
I started to get to know Dennis through this podcast. Now, I have read his book on happiness, his Genesis rational Bible commentary, and just got his Deuteronomy commentary. I SO often pause this podcast while out on a walk and think about something profound that Dennis just said while chatting, and I let it sink in. He’s helped me grow in so many areas in life. Thanks, Dennis.
Dennis Prager gives lots of wise insights. I don’t agree with all of his political options, but I do love the wise and reasoned way he speaks of universal values. Thank you Dennis.
Dennis’ perspective inspires me to dig deeper and think more critically about all the things I’ve learned over the years and held as true. He has an incredible moral compass and I admire his honest and respectful presentation. I value most his perspective on choosing happiness. “The Happiness Hour” is a wonderful experience in gratefulness. Dennis, you are an American treasure.
I love listening to Mr. Prager! He has a way of provoking quality thoughts in his listeners and applying wisdom to real-world issues.
If you’re looking to enrich your worldview (therefore, your life), you couldn’t choose a better podcast than the Fireside Chat!
My 20 year old son really identifies with the fireside chats of Dennis Prager. We use these chats as a springboard to continue the conversation. As yucky as this world is, I am encouraged by the views held by Mon son and his friends. Thank you, Mr. Prager for your wisdom! You are a blessing to our family.
Dennis! My youngest son (who just turned 15 and would rather listen to you than do schoolwork) has listened to you for a while now & I'm so glad I’ve met you! I’d love to chat with you sometime because I also love clarity and understanding in any subject. Where you and I are very similar in thoughts, there are some areas in which I don’t agree but still love your show! I’m can’t wait to read your commentaries and other books! So glad to have some more study material & someone to listen to while I work.
Raquel
Dennis it’s been awhile, one could only hope to have a fraction of the accomplishments that you’ve achieved in a lifetime! I know we’ll probably never meet but I can openly and honestly say that I love who you are, I love your soul and spirit, I love your love for all humanity and your love for America but most of all, I as well as millions of other listeners love you! Thank you for what you do! Make fireside chats an hr long! They go by to quick!
Mark from Long Island NY
If you are looking for insight into the human condition from someone that has lived a full life, understands things in a way that is unconventional, Mr. Prager is your man!
I love listening to you go to the when you travel you’re in town we moved but my wife has become obsessed with trump whenever he goes somewhere she follows him and there’s no more family time on the weekends what do I do
The results of a man and a woman ‘coming together’ obviously renders offspring. Once that process has commenced, (even before), a ‘plan’ for the child was implemented. ‘If’ discovered and pursued, the role the parents play becomes ‘less’ impactful to the negative. In fact, some of the worst examples of parenting provide example for not ‘how to’, ourselves. Is that not honor ?…. We also must consider those things they inspired us to be more adept, i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry and desired trades such as carpentry or mechanics, even lawn care and/or landscaping…. But more importantly, through necessity for a desire for Eternal well-being, bad parenting affords us an opportunity to forgive, which is God’s Forever Command, that we might share Heaven with Him. And is that not worth whatever is necessary to insure our proper placement there ? don
