Reviews For Crime Salad

Ricky, the “Sing-Song” comment, was not lost on me, I saw the reviews! When you said that during the “Twisted Jealousy” episode, I actually did LOL!!…”Haters”, do not let them get you down!! You two are AWESOME and I’ll forever be a fan!! ❤️, Kelly
I finally unsubscribed because of Ricky’s artificial speech pattern.
I love listening to your podcast!! I love it especially when Ricky tells part of the story as well. Thank you!! Keep it up

3/5

The male’s sing song voice is kind of annoying.
I will forever listen to you guys, absolutely love the cases you cover and the way you cover them! Also Ricky is hilarious and you guys are a whole vibe! The best! You’re awesome! Don’t stop..keep them coming!!
I absolutely love Crime Salad. Ashley’s storytelling is engaging, expressive, empathetic, articulate, and so beautifully delivered…. I listen all day in a tractor, all summer. I had written a year ago my disappointment in Ricky’s voice and delivery, and I now acknowledge the positive changes you’ve made! His role now, as a listener and voice for us, is so natural and much more enjoyable. I just binged this show on a 10hr round trip drive to the coast.
Generally poor, but, “he had went”, really? Gina she, Fred he. Leave off the extra modifiers. Either use Gina and Fred or she and he, not both!
Love your take on true crime , enjoy listening to your podcasts.
I’d give this show a 4/5 if the husband would go away. Please stop letting him speak.
I love listening to true crime pod casts and this is by far my favorite. No annoying narration, just clear speaking.
I just found this podcast last week and I’ve been binging all the previous seasons . I love it. Great ethical crime story telling and most of the episodes are perfect length to listen to. Everyone should check them out.
Glad the episodes are short because that’s all the Ricky I could take. He’s so silly and well dumb sounding. I like this show better in the beginning and just occasionally listen now. Also you both pronounce so many words incorrectly it’s cringe worthy .
Ashley and Ricky are amazing! They tell the stories very factually and detailed and they get right to the story and they are adorable to listen to together. I love their little funny parts in the beginning of each episode. Keep up the great work Ashley and Ricky, I’ve been listening a long time and look forward to every episode! Thank you!!
This is the best true crime podcast out there. I love the chemistry between Ashley and Ricky. The way Ashley tells each story is phenomenal. 100% recommend.
Ashley, your voice is so captivating. I love the vibe you bring. Great details, and clear story telling.
Love the show but the episodes are entirely too short. Most true crime shows are at least 40-50 minutes.
Obsessed with this podcast- have been binging it to get all the episodes in. I love the short form and the cases they cover. Highly recommend for true crime lovers
Love the show. I have binged all the past shows. Super excited to find that you will be at CrimeCon 2024. Hope to see you both there.
I appreciate all the work that gets put into the cases you guys cover. The way Ashely can tell a case and be precise in certain details that help understand what’s going on. I absolutely love the new way of the podcast, having Ricky’s input is almost as if he’s speaking for us listeners. Every time I think out loud Ricky will say what my thoughts were too! glad you guys made a positive change on your podcast. either way loved it before and love it now. I hope your podcast continues to grow as it deserves.
One of my favorite podcasts. I love how they tell the story. My favorite part is they get right to the story! Not a bunch of chatting about none sense like most other True Crime podcasts!
I haven’t listened in awhile so I was surprised at Ricky’s new role. Love it.
I’m really enjoying your podcasts. It’s my first time getting into podcasts and finding yours has been a nice introduction into podcasting shows. I like how the stories are detailed and narrated, along with the interaction between you both. I like Rickie’s comments/questions/jokes as it breaks up the tone of the conversation/story. Keep up the great story telling!
Great show but Ricky’s weird comments in the background are unnecessary makes it feel very uncomfortable
I want to listen but the unnecessary music is driving me crazy. I believe that I would like your podcast if you stop with the annoying loud music. Stop with the music and I will rewrite my review.
Such great chemistry between these two:) I look forward to new releases and appreciate the respect they show to the victims of the cases they cover. Love, love, love the humor that lightens the severity of the situations and that it is appropriately directed at the perpetrators.
I fell in love with this podcast after hearing them do a segment on Once Upon A Crime. Instantly fell in love. Ashley and Ricky have a chemistry that shines through in every story that they tell. They show compassion and respect for everyone involved in the stories that they share. The dedication they put into this podcast is appreciated. One of my go to podcasts every week.
My favorite salad is Crime Salad. Every now and then I get lucky and find a podcast to listen, this time I put my hands on the best podcast.
Not well researched, and when they make a mistake, they don’t mention it in a subsequent episode. For example, there has been a woman put to death in the last 70 years, her name is Aileen Wuornos. In the episode following that, Covina massacre, how can the couple be married in 2009 but divorced in 2008? Also, while reading your script, you mispronounce words, why is that in the final cut? Sloppy. But it’s popular because it’s told in an engaging way. Step up your game, true crime is competitive.
I was recommended this podcast and have been hooked from the first one! Thank you for all your hard work!
So I was tired of listening to the same old music everyday while I work. I love watching Dateline. So I thought why not bring True Crime to work to listen to. I then found Crime Salad. My favorite part which also separates this true crime podcast from the rest is how they swap moments when they talk. Both voices add to the eerie feeling of true crime story telling. I have a 9 hour day and probably listen to 6-7 cases a shift. Thank you both for an awesome podcast!
Absolutely love this podcast! There is just the right amount of easy going banter between Ashley and Ricky and the cases they cover are interesting to listen to. I have been listening since the beginning and still look forward to each new episode! 5 stars!
I was in the mood to switch up what I was listening to, came across Crime Salad and I haven’t turned back! By far one of my favorites to listen to while I’m driving!
Stated an event that happened July 11, 2024???
The banter between you two is so enjoyable and I love how it’s a little less formal and more conversational. It makes me feel like I’m sitting in the living room with friends! Love your show!

5/5

Fabulous team! Very easy to listen and follow. Great accuracy and very informative.
Hi! I love you guys and I think the new style of the show is great! I honestly love hearing more of your personalities shining through and I like hearing about your lives. The first time you both veered away from strictly talking about the case, I was like OH SNAP! These two are funny! And I loved it! I think you tell the cases in a very respectful and informative way, I love listening! Lastly, Ricky- don’t listen to the haters, comment all you want!
It’s an okay true crime podcast. The research leaves something to be desired, and there is so much unnecessary filler. Ricky adds nothing to the podcast, if anything his interjections and opinions are a turn off.
Love this podcast and the gentle storytelling between Ashley and Ricky! Your chemistry is awesome!!
I’ve had a heavy rotation of true crime podcasts for the last 10 years and can be a tough critic, these guys strike a great balance of good research, respectful delivery, and totally non irritating opinions and banter. It’s one of the only “couples” shows that I can tolerate. Keep it up!
Love this podcast and the respect shown to victims and their families. The hosts are engaging and insightful.
I have been a listener for years, since the early days. The podcast has improved greatly in every way but content. I have noticed a recurring theme of running the same stories being told on the true crime news shows like Dateline and 48 Hours, the same week or right after. I don’t want to hear the same stories rehashed on your podcast; and I’m sure I’m not alone in that frustration. Please try to research more original stories so you don’t lose listeners. Btw, you are not the only podcast in my feed that does this, so I’ll often come across 3 or more podcasts all running the same tales. Super annoying.
I’ve been following Crime Salad since 2021 and it’s awesome to see it continually growing. Kudos to Ashley and Ricky for continuing to find interesting content and bringing their own flavor of commentary. I enjoy the chemistry and friendship that they bring to each episode - it’s like hanging out with a couple of married friends, breaking down some true crime. Love the new art and the continued evolution of the music. I follow all the bigger true crime podcasts and I’ve always rooted for this one, because they consistently develop and bring forward good stories. It’s so easy to make anonymous criticisms on these reviews, much more difficult to produce a good episode. Looking forward to a healthy dose of salad in 2024!
I have been listening for a while and the recent format change makes the show even better. Now that Ricky is more involved in the narration and the back and forth conversation, I have found him to have great instincts. He throws out ideas that I had never even considered. And Ashley is fantastic, as always. Keep up the good work. You guys are amazing!
I am a recently new listener and have been blowing through episodes! Love the length and style. If I have one critique it would be for Ashley to narrate each episode. I am not the biggest fan of Ricky’s style of speaking.
I found this this podcast a couple of years, probably during the pandemic, and I have been hooked. I love the hosts, and all the points they give us for their stories.
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts partially from interest but largely with a deep need to recognize patterns and hopefully protect myself and loved ones wherever possible. I appreciate Ashley and Ricky’s fact based storytelling combined with their thoughtful and compassionate discourse
The bantering intro is way too long. I understand wanting to connect with audience but there can be too much. Now Ricky seems there only as background filler- it was much better when you just introduced the story and then alternated telling it. The chatter mid-tale is distracting and seems forced. You are not True Crime Couple.
I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. For me it’s right up there with crime junkie and morbid. Both hosts are great story tellers and I look forward to every new episode!
