Reviews For Morning Cup of Murder

I freaking love this podcast but I’m going to SCREAM if I have to hear another advertisement for a diet plan on my true crime feed. Get rid of NOOM and get something relevant. Don’t perpetuate diet culture. It’s nasty.
What more could you ask for. Excellent.
I’m NOT of fan of gore, throwing in personal theories, or having to listen to ads mid-show. I AM a fan because this podcast because it does none of those. She tells you the facts and gets out, just in time for my daily morning commute.
Overall I enjoy this podcast and tend to go on binges and listen to multiple episodes at once. My biggest complaint with the show is the wording at times. Sometimes words are used in the wrong context or pronounced incorrectly. The sentence structure used sometimes makes it hard to follow the story. It would be helpful to have someone proof-read/listen prior to uploading.
i know it’s supposed to be a wake up kinda show but i use it to fall asleep at night don’t know what i’d do without this show hope girlie knows how much we appreciate it this podcast is the first i recommend to people can’t rave about it more
Good podcast but writer/author frequently gets dates wrong. For example, in the episode 'The curious death of a children's author,' from 7/15/2023, she states that the author was born in 1964 but then a bit later she says that she married her husband in 1966, obviously that's not right since she was not 2 years old when she got a job after college and got married and she probably meant 1996, but, come on. It's not just this one episode either, it's quite a few.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE learn how to pronounce “larynx”. It’s La-RINX, not lar-NYX. The letters are in the correct order, you just can’t seem to say them in the correct order. You use the word enough that it’s super annoying. Either learn to say it or just don’t say it at all. Edited to add: “conscious” and “conscience” are two very different words. The first one means you’re awake and aware. The second, which is the word you actually meant when you said “conscious,” is your inner voice that tells you what to do Edited to add: Ty Cobb was a baseball player, not a basketball player. Quick Google search would tell you that.
Huge fan of MCOM. Have been listening to her (& Killian 😋) for a while now. The people in these comments are so ridiculous. It takes minimal effort to literally move on to something else if this isn’t for you or if she mispronounces something (hello, human). I love that I can listen while doing morning routine stuff and they aren’t long and her voice is pleasing to listen to.
…however, if you are going to do a crime podcast, you really need to learn to pronounce “penitentiary.” Small issue? Sure but you want to sound educated and professional, right?
Wake me Up brought me here and I’m not disappointed! Perfect short stories!
I like the quick story each day. Precise. Love it. Small pet peeve. Melbourne, Australia is pronounced ‘Mel’ ‘burn’ unless you have an Australian accent. You don’t have an Australian accent so please stop saying ‘Mel’ ‘bin’. It’s just weird.
Korina, you are doing great. Ignore the idiots picking on your pronunciation-literally the dumbest thing to worry about. Great podcast.
Almost every other sentence is exaggeratedly spoken and then ends with a preposition! Where did the writer learn sentence structure? It’s annoyingly difficult to get past, and I won’t be any longer. The content is decent, but the speaker and the writing are just awful.
I like the idea of this podcast, true crime stories in short form, but the narrator’s delivery is annoying. She has a weird cadence and pauses in odd places or for too long. It’s almost as if she has to let you hear the comma for a few extra beats. But to me, it almost changes the meaning when she emphasizes something too hard. It sounds like she’s trying to sound like a newscaster but it’s coming off as really annoying.

Short and sweet and contains interesting crimes, but respecting the victims
I personally love true crime but all the podcasts I have listened to are just so long and so this is the perfect true crime podcast for being on the go! Only thing is that in the description it said each were 5 minutes? While most are 15 minutes long I don’t really mind 😜
If you are looking for a novel, move on. This podcast is awesome for a short story on true crime.
I didn’t think I would love short shows every day, but it turns out it is one of my favorite shows. She both writes extremely well, and finds crimes that are not talked about on the other shows. This is the first show I listen to, and then if I have time I move on to others
Just the fascinating facts, no banter, and morbid curiosity entertainment. Thank you. Ps, If you read this, and your hubby is helping out the clips together, you can clap your hands and it will show up on the audio recording so hubby know when a hiccup happens, it’s visible and can me reconfigured it there since sometimes words phrases will be repeated (I’m assuming accidentally and it’s haven 4-5 times) when blending in the podcast together as a cohesive storytelling. Hope this helps!
There are better alternatives than this crap show. The story telling is just horrendous. It sounds like she just woke up from bed and is reading directly from Wikipedia. Her voice recalling the crimes is just bland. I honestly tried giving this podcast a shot but this Karen is just bad at recalling accounts of the crimes.
This podcast is one of them. Thank you & love you.
I love the short form format of this podcast. I stated listening in 2022 and enjoy a high “umbrella” look into these cases. Many I’ve not heard before. However…for it to be episodes that are 3-22 minutes (most about 8-12 minutes) why is it 89% of the episodes have editing issues where you can hear the host make a mistake and then start the sentence over again. If it was once in a while, I’d understand but it happens VERY often. These episodes are too short to not fix that mistake. It feels like the host doesn’t care. She should do better than that.
I may only be 14 but I have always loved try crime and loved listening to it while working or just at school🖤
This is a small package with a powerful punch of crime. I love it. Straight to the guts of the story with a great story teller. A+++

Looking for a new crime podcast that isn’t political. Apparently everyone doing crime podcast wants to work for CNN. Ugh maybe I’ll start my own that is just strictly entertainment to not cross off half of a fan base . I have not listened to one episode of this podcast but went straight to the comments to realize they are political too.

Stop cutting down republicans. U talk about crime not politics.
Wow just wow, this is one of my favorite podcasts and my favorite TC podcast! Facts, multiple sources! Great tagline “if you like your coffee hot and your bones chilled” she’s the best! You will not regret listening! Now all I need is march 😅
I love this show. I listen to it almost daily! Keep up the great work!!
I listen to this podcast every morning! You are so respectful when telling these stories! I love the Q&A and getting to know the person behind the podcast a bit more. I like that the episodes are fairly short, and when I am extra interested in a story I can go learn about more!
You're an essential part of my morning coffee routine, and I absolutely love your show!!!
I don’t drink coffee every day but I do listen to this podcast. The length of episodes are perfect for my drive to and from work and I love that it’s updated every day. The crimes are always ones I have never heard of and I think the “news reporter” tone is appropriate. There’s so many I don’t think I could possibly listen to them all.
I heard about your show on Graveyard Tales. It took me a few days to get to start yours but I am hooked! You’ve just become a part of my morning routine! Thank you.
Recently went from work from home to the office. Was panicked thinking I would not be able to listen to any more true crime during my day. This podcast is the perfect length to grab a cup of coffee in the morning and squeeze some facts in before heading off to work. Thank you guys!
Great podcast! Short and to the point. I’m often very busy at work so listening to longer episodes on other podcasts uninterrupted isn’t often doable. Great voice, great story telling, easy to listen to.
I would give this podcast -5 if I could What have you done? Picked up a newspaper read an article and just blurted out words with no feeling or thought I cannot believe someone has allowed you to speak such rubbish and call yourself a podcaster I’m surprised you are not completely ashamed of yourself
I am fascinated by true crime and recently got discovered the many podcasts devoted to this genre. But not all of them are good! This one is short, sweet, and has excellent production value. The host’s voice is clear, engaging, and enthusiastic. I also like the ‘this day in (crime) history’ focus. Highly recommended for all true crime fans.

First of all, I’m really picky about podcasts! Second, I AM REALLY ENJOYING THIS ONE! Five stars!!!!
This is a must for any true crime fan! I just discovered this podcast and I’m hooked. The episodes are quick, concise, and very informative.
I just found this podcast after years of listening to true crime. Where has it been? I hope more people find it because it is absolutely a delight every morning. Also, you have a great voice for podcasting. I also like that you do your research well and you condense it. Highly recommend.
I love the newscast approach to the podcast! Sometimes I want a more humourous podcast with banter and I have a few go-tos for that, but when I’m in the mood for a bite sized professional more news like approach to true crime, this is my favourite. It’s nice to have this style option in a sea of true crime podcasts. I find your delivery to be sensitive, thoughtful, and respectful of victims and I appreciate that. Solid podcast, don’t change a thing! ❤️
Perfect bite sized crime to wake up with!
I love true crime. This show is a quick synopsis and I love listening during in between times. Well done
I just discovered this podcast, and I’m currently binging every episode (they’re short enough it isn’t taking too long.) I absolutely love listening on my drive to work every morning- perfect timing!

Love the podcast!
I just found this little gem and I'm so glad I did. The recounts are quick but thorough and the podcaster's voice is nice and calming (despite the topics 🤣). Just two little nitpicks - the grammar isn't always correct (most noticably in noun-verb agreement) and there are repeated words/phrases that seem like they were supposed to be edited out but weren't.
I love this podcast. I am binging all the episodes. I love that there isn’t a long drawn out intro, like other podcasts. The cases are super interesting and engaging.
