Very informative and I have learned a lot. I like the short and to the point narrative, that makes it easy to binge listen. I respectfully ask you to consider changing suicide as being described as “committing suicide” to “died by suicide”. Suicide is usually, if not always, an action by a person in despair. “Committed” is a judgmental descriptor and has illegal and immoral connotations for a tragedy that is usually the result of mental illness. As a person who had a family member die by suicide, using “committed” is painful to hear and fosters misunderstanding. Thank you for your consideration, and thank you for a great podcast! Respectfully, Jody
I wish I’d had this as a resource all through school. So thoughtfully done and imaginatively produced.
Please, use correct grammar. My HS English students want to sound mature. Cringe worthy language. Thanks, Dr. GC Interesting podcast to highlight amazing women. Thanks, Dr. GC
One of my common rants is that women have contributed to every part of society since the beginning of time, but our stories are minimized, forgotten or erased. I love this podcast because it highlights so many women from so many places in the world, times in history and areas of civilization. I also love it because it doesn’t just cram a few well known stories into March, but tell them all year round. Thanks for making this!!!
The latest one (Xue Susu) is especially egregious. It’s not Shu-ay, it’s Xue1. All one word. There’s no doubt in mind that these episodes are well researched but each time I hear her say “Shu-ay,” it distracts from the narrative and all I can think is “she couldn’t take five minutes to teach herself basic pinyin?”
Great podcast👌 love that most of the women they talk about and I can learn so much in just 7 minutes!!😜
And I don’t have much more to say. Thanks for your hard work, Liz, Jenny, and friends!

I like this podcast a lot. But they do repeat some people.
People are way to harsh in their reviews of this podcast. It’s not intended to go in depth or be grammatically perfect. There are SO MANY great women throughout history- many of whom I would never have known about without this podcast. It’s also great for the younger generation of women. A lengthy, in depth discussion would not hold hold the attention of my young daughters but this is the perfect amount of time. Thanks!
I love this pod. It’s a wonderful listen. I just turn it on and let it go. It’s quick and entertaining and to the point.
YIKES FEMINISTS RUUUUUUUUUN
There are myriad women of trans experience that this podcast has neglected to talk about. Many of the feminists that have been covered would be ashamed of this fact.
I love this podcast and I listen to it every day with my nine-year-old daughter. I wish sources were listed so we could further research each remarkable woman.
I love how I get to learn about a new woman every day. It reminds me that I am not alone or the first woman to put herself out there. Thank you for the work you do!
Love this podcast so much!!! Women's History and stories are so often left untold. It's amazing to have a podcast that I can listen to and learn about so many amazing women! I've learned so much already and will keep listening. Thank you so much for this podcast!!
I listen every morning on my way to work. Perfect bite of inspiration to get me going!
“Let’s celebrate women!” Podcast is five minutes long per episode... If you want to empower women and showcase great ones, which I support, it’s insulting to do it in five minutes.
I think the idea of this podcast is great! And very interesting! But I cannot listen to the announcer’s voice. It is too off putting. I want her to clear her voice all the time. Boo, vocal fry! If someone has a podcast that is audio they should really work on their vocal performance.
Empowering and enlightening
Love it!! Intelligent & well worded. I love history & these women are the best! My favorite podcast. I love you ladies!
I can’t wait for 2020 to come but I’m really sad this show is coming to and end. Best pod of 2019 hands down.
This podcast is perfect for girls growing up today to learn about how the great women of history really shaped our present reality.
I’ve learned so much and never miss an episode. I love the short format.
This is brilliant! All young girls should listen to your podcasts!! Very well done!!
I don’t understand why people are being so rude about her voice she’s a human and she has feelings so done go around saying that she has a bad voice that is just rude
I love this podcast but why are the episodes so short?! Even if the podcast was once a week, and the episodes 20-35 minutes longer, it would be even better. The idea is really great, but every episode I finish I just want to know more
I’ve been slow to listen to this podcast but the sheer volume and quality amazes me! Hearing about all of these pioneering women is a great motivator.
Everything I’ve ever wanted
This show makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.

I absolutely love this
Jenny Kaplan is a genius.
Every day I learn something new and get inspired and encouraged by all these great women who have dedicated their souls to making our lives a little better.
Keep it up! You guys show that women are powerful and awesome 😎
I love getting these bite-sized episodes about these amazing women, most of whom I’ve never heard of!
This podcast is incredibly written, intriguing, and engaging. Amazing to learn about hundreds of women that you never hear about in history class.
The spectrum of this show is very broad. The content is well researched which sometimes even surprises me with amazing women from my own culture that I’ve never heard of. Kudos to your pronunciation of Chinese words which are very accurate with tones and all that (just another example of how you ladies take your work seriously)! Keep up with the good work <3.
I enjoy the show and am always pleasantly surprised at how much they manage to fit into such a short amount of time. That said, I find it highly suspect that there doesn’t seem to be any citation anywhere- not in the show notes or even on the website. Why should we trust this information when the sources are totally unknown? Plus, including sources would encourage people to seek them out and learn even more about these fascinating subjects! If this extremely problematic oversight were fixed, this would be a five-star podcast.
For some podcasts when I get a little busy with life and behind on my listening I’ll delete several episodes of the podcasts I subscribe to, but never this one! I’ve listened to every episode and love every single one. The length is perfect and they are packed with great information. I love how they give me concrete data to combat assumptions about women and positive tidbits to share. I’ll even relisten to my favorites!

I love this show so much! I’m learning so many new things about the most fantastic women! Everyone needs to hear these!
I love these short podcasts it not going to lie wish they were longer. My favorite are villainess !
Two stars for the great content, but PLEASE hire talent whose voice is not grating to listen to. Jenny Kaplan's vocal fry is just painful. I had to stop listening which is too bad because the short bites were interesting. There are so many better ways to present this material. I feel sorry for the advertisers who have to listen to their ads presented this way. You are surrounded by better voices in NYC! Please find one.
I only wish there was more! This is perfection. Recommendation: Natalia Ginzburg!!
Amazing podcast! I listen to it every morning on my run and love learning about the lives of women!
Love learning about women who are part of history
Love the show, but quit using the word indelible! It’s way overused
