Hi there I’m Indra and I absolutely love the ocean and fish so much since I was a kid I am considering getting into a marine biology job because it’s my passion and I have been to many aquariums in the world in the past
I am normally not a podcast person at all but this is the one show that I can listen to for hours! I recently decided to pursue a career in marine biology so I wanted to learn about all of my options and this show is perfect. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in a carrier in marine bio or just someone who loves the ocean. I want to save manatees. They are very cute and one of the calmest animals. I do have a question……….. do I have to only go to Florida to study them? I might be afraid of crocodiles. 😬I have always wanted to be a marine biologist. Thanks!

One night I was in the car with my dad geeking out on marine animals and he found this podcast. I was talking a lot of how much I want to be a Marine Biologist and how long it would take to do so. I was also talking about what college I would go to. Mind you I was in middle school at the time. He found this podcast on the drive back home from some place. I have loved it ever since. I now know so much about marine biology and what I can do to become one. It is truly a big inspiration in my life.
For science nerds this podcast is gold. It’s encouraging to listen to the many journeys so many of these scientists have been on. Gives me hope that I can do it too.

I love this podcast so much! It’s very informative, interesting, and makes me want to become a marine biologist even more. It was hard for me to find a good information source on how to become a marine biologist, conservation information, and updates in our ocean, but this gives me the whole picture! I get inspired every time I listen to this podcast and can’t wait for the next episode!
I just binged all 31 currently available episodes and can’t talk enough about how much I enjoyed it. I love the positivity about maybe feeling unsure sometimes but this path just finds you, and the great stories and experiences all guests have shared! From this, I’ve found new people to follow who do work in areas I’m really interested in. I’m NOT a marine biologist (god I wish), but getting scuba certified made me wish I had known how invested I’d become in the ocean when I was still in school so I could reroute my path

This podcast is great for anyone interested in Marine Biology or conservation. Cara does a fantastic job of bringing up topics that inspire would-be marine biologists, interviewing experts in the field and lab to discuss their research and career paths. The variety of episodes allows for students to realize that there are plenty of opportunities to work in the field of Marine Biology, and for someone who grew up in the desert of Arizona (me), this information is invaluable

I’ve been having trouble picking a major between marine bio, entomology, and herpetology. So I decided I’d listen to some podcasts about each subject and hopefully find one that really resonates with me. This podcast made me pick marine biology. So far I haven’t heard an episode about whales, which are my one true loves, but I can’t wait for that day to come. Thank you for helping me find my passion.
