The Unforgivables

Reviews For The Unforgivables

I learned things I hadn’t known about one of the cases. When I thought I knew everything already, I was surprised to hear that there was more to the story. This podcast laid out the information in a very easy to understand timeline. I really like this podcast.

Why do all of you uncreative, cut-and-paste Chris Watts podcasts all talk about the stupid lyrics to Battery!? It’s so stupid! Find a new tragedy to exploit. This is as low-effort as they come.
Why did you stop?
narrator keeps stating “i’m sure that” and follows with his opinion. terrible writing. we are watching for researched facts not to hear your unfounded opinions. also states that he is a ‘fan’ of true crime which is a chilling statement.
I have enjoyed this podcast with the audio they added and no tasteless humor in
Have listened to Season 1 so far - good research, serious presentation, good use of audio clips. No inappropriate humor which isn’t always the case in some podcasts dealing with horrific crimes.
I listen to ALOT of podcasts. This one is really good and offers new insights on cases. Recommend.
Born and raised in Wichita Ks! You did a great job covering this one. Now do Lucas Hernandez here in Wichita ks as well
Words and legalities matter. Everyone you reference was found guilty in the end… so your beginning should be ‘presumed innocent’… not ‘Innocent’
I was super intrigued and would have listened to the whole thing but I had to mess with the volume every couple minutes on this podcast. It was so inconsistent I couldn't listen.

I like all the interviews they bring up. However it really irked me when he said the women detective didnt look like she belonged there ? Okay why because she's a women and she looks so regular? What does that have to do with anything about the investigation or the podcast?
Would love to hear your thoughts on the inconsistencies in the discovery as well as witness statements. For example, the creepy doll picture was not taken by Chris and texted to SW while on her trip. The photo was taken on 8-9 while SW didn’t leave for her trip until 8-10. The picture was uploaded to Facebook on 8-9. Plus the picture was actually taken by SW herself. In no way am I saying that he is innocent. I just think it’s important to present the truth.
I loved, loved, loved listening to the Watts tapes podcast. I got to hear never heard before accounts of interviews with police, friends and those close to the case. I really enjoyed listening and looking forward to more!!!
That weird, monotone ‘journalist’ voice that too many podcasters use, is like nails on a chalkboard for me. Really? Zero difference in inflection between asking a question and mentioning some minor detail? All sentences end on a down tone? Yuck.
She is not in witness protection. She legally changed her name. It’s a sealed document..

75% is uncut audio and the other 25% is rambling, cringeworthy narration. Added an extra star for “aboot”.
I loved the watts tapes, tragic and sad. I loved that it was so clear and input was perfectly placed and on point.
Very good podcast. Well researched. No silliness . Host does an excellent job of letting the tape recordings tell the story . Very sad story. I feel really awful about Shan’ann and her girls . What a monster CW is .
The podcast was electrifying. I could not stop listening. Great narration, no bias.

When he called Shannon Watts Facebook posts “inspiring” ooooff. Swing and a miss.
Couldn’t even get past the 2nd episode. A lot of reviews mention problems with the host’s personal narrative, but that’s honestly neither here nor there for me; this case sparks strong reactions and opinions in people and I like hearing different perspectives, regardless of whether or not I agree with them. This guy is not the first to speculate heavily and he won’t be the last. What irks me to death and makes this unlistenable is that the episodes I listened to were composed almost entirely of the (VERY low quality) interrogation and other evidence audio. We’ve all heard that stuff before. I’m here to listen to a podcast, not unintelligible, fuzzy police audio clips. It’s a lazy approach at best.
While I liked listening to the police interviews, the host ruins the story with ridiculous interjections. He wonders out loud constantly and never backs up any part of his narrative. SO many great true crime podcasts out there, don’t waste your time with this one.
I was glued to this podcast for days. Great job with this story about this monster!
First podcast review because I can’t believe how badly this is done. Tons of unsupported conjecture mixed in with flat out wrong statements. For better info I recommend listening to Red Collar episode on this case. This is not worth your time nor the time the host clearly put into it.
Great narration the host is on point very well put together....
sounds like a 5th grader reading a book report
I rarely write reviews but this podcast warrants one. The unfounded assumptions presented in the podcast are not only dangerous because they try to implicate a person who was likely not involved, but because these theories shift the blame away from murderer Chris Watts. It is one thing to present evidence based theories, it is quite another to use this tragedy as a vehicle for your titillating but unfounded assumptions. I felt the victims voices were missing from the narrative. I understand that the focus was on the tapes and perhaps a study of the murderer’s behavior, but the victims lives and voices should always be present too. We must always give Cece, Bella, and Shannan the voice that was so callously stolen from them.
This podcast host just took all the audio tapes of police interviews with Chris Watts and his girlfriend and edited them down while commenting on them. There is nothing new to learn here. The host repeatedly wonders out loud about possible ulterior motives as well posing the question, “was the girlfriend in on it?” But he never investigates these theories or even interview anyone for this podcast. It’s just all rehashing.....
Loving this!!!
This is the correct way to approach this case. Thank you!
This is a very interesting podcast! All I wanted to do was beat the $&!% out of Chris’s face after hearing all the episodes ! I can’t believe how sick and twisted this man was . And for the last episode , I really think he had was meeting with other women and had encounters with men also . This guy is sick in the head !!
Smart, professional, good voice, informative: everything you would want in a true crime podcast. Also, the episodes aren’t unnecessarily long or full of filler nonsense. I’ve followed the Watts case from the very beginning. I know pretty much all there is to know and I still looked forward to listening to this podcast!
The host was informative and curious in to looking at all angles. I truly couldn’t stop listening. Great podcast.
I came across this podcast after watching the Chris Watts documentary on Netflix. This podcast provided more in depth information about the events leading up to Chris’s arrest. The end of this season was a little abrupt and I would have liked some commentary at the end, but still can’t wait for season 2!
Throwing around a lot of unfounded inuendo. I think they call this “yelliw
Great podcast by the producers. Well thought out and great come together at the end.
I love everything about this podcast. It's well thought out, well produced, everything. It's highly entertaining. Crystal from True Crime Broads
Great job with the small details and extra footage I've never heard anywhere else! Can't wait for season 2. The writers definitely paid attention to details.
The podcast is a lazy rehash of everything already and adds nothing to what anybody might glean from reading a magazine in the dentists waiting room. The Watts case is a terrible suburban tragedy that says something about America and the lies it’s willing to tell itself on social media. But what that ‘something’ is this production doesn’t even dare explore.
The host or voice over guy is nearly impossible to listen to. Speaks too quickly or mumbles often + vocal fry + a weird, high-pitched monotone. Gah.
This is such a well done podcast and good insights into such a horrifying case.
I am so obsessed with true crime podcasts, I literally listen to them alll day. Just watched the new Netflix documentary about this case and was worried that maybe this podcast would just be the exact same thing but I was wrong!! This podcast brought a lot of new info to the table. I cant stop listening!
I was hesitant for so long to listen as the story is so sad, but today I binged all episodes! Excellent reporting of information that I had not heard. Looking forward to your next endeavor!
This is a great deep dive into this story.
While it was interesting to hear so much of the police interview tapes, I just can’t agree with most of the conclusions the host drew from them. The podcast is meandering and at times contradictory. No new light was shed on this case, and the ultimate point of the project is still unclear to me.
The actual tapes are interesting but the intro music, narrator’s voice and cadence are very distracting. The narration doesn’t add much to the story and tends to distract, if anything. The series was disorganized and ended abruptly. The purpose of this podcast is what was interesting - the tapes. I would have wanted to hear more about his post-conviction interview with the detective which is what this podcast appeared to be predicated upon. Instead, there was very little reference to it.
