Very well done and always interesting. I’m very impressed with the work and attention to detail thaf Noiser puts into all of their material. Why I pay for the membership. Keep up the good work!
This is an outstanding podcast. Extremely well done and documented expertly. The interviews and testimonies from actual participants provide excellent validity to the series
This was one of the best put together Podcast that I’ve heard. I felt like I was watching a movie with the great sound effects. Can’t wait for another one!!!
After watching all the Narcos episodes and all Marcos related shows I was craving more stories and found this podcast. Love the narrators voice and hearing from the real DEA agents in these episodes.
I am absolutely fascinated with the narcos stories. I wish there was more episodes! Something on the Arellano brothers and what not and the Cali cartel
I would enjoy the podcast a lot more if I wasn’t SO distracted by the host mispronouncing the DEA agents last name and other nouns. I’m not saying you should be able to speak the language, but you should know how to pronounce common last names and words. Disappointing.
I am extremely interested in all things cartel. It truly fascinates me. I loved listening to this podcast and the people that were there. My only complaint is the godmother didn’t have much story to it. Regardless, I’ve enjoyed it!
I love serialized podcasts but they can be boring or repetitive or sensational. This show is none of those. And the emotion and empathy of some of the interviewed agents was surprising and moving. Excellent.
Thanks for bringing some healthy, serious quality product and competition into a saturated media market. Check out the other Noiser shows, they’re excellent! These are absolutely among the best: well written, professional production, and highly topical.
Brilliant, one of the best podcast productions I’ve come across. Highly recommended. No words can do justice to the knowledge I have gained. coletter013
I am not kidding, this is the best group of podcasts out there. It’s well produced, well narrated and overall, well put together. I can’t say enough about all of the Noiser podcasts, they have a fan for life.
Noisier is amazing, I am not a bot so this is an honest appreciation for your podcasts. Im a super fan of every single Noiser podcast and constantly flip between narcos and “real dictators” 10/10 on both ends and a very happy subscriber.
I like the content. The ‘facts’ and info seem pretty spot on but.... thus far they’ve totally avoided finger pointing at the CIA which I find neglectful. Zero mentions of arms running and smuggling by them. Crack???? This podcast makes the Sandinistas look awful and the contras as the ones in the right when that is the furthest from the truth. Makes me wonder, yet again, who is funding this show. But, overall I’ve liked what they have decided to cover. Better then most out there at least
Look, I get that you have to leave certain things out in order to continue to get law enforcement/agents to speak with you all, but certainly a balance can be struck between toeing the party line and the ability to continue to get these great interviews? These stories can at least be contextualized by the narrator given that no one expects the interviewees to be unbiased. I’m not asking for a treatise on the War on Drugs, but sometimes when I listen to this podcast I can literally hear a tear falling out of a bald eagle’s eye. I echo some of the other commenters - this podcast desperately needs to go beyond the accepted US-centric narrative. I’m not asking for Iran Contra here, just at least a bit of “BTW this person? He’s controversial and allegedly corrupt” or at least challenging understatements of the century like “the US government thought Columbia had it under control” or the agents glossing over US/DEA missteps. Can we get some history nerds on here? Please?
I have a love <> hate relationship with this show (and Noiser’s other shows). Love them because they are high quality, entertaining, educational, interesting and can’t wait everyday for the next episode. Hate them because they’ve pretty much ruined the ability to listen to non-Noiser podcasts because of the quality standard they’ve set for their podcasts and they just can’t be matched. The production, sound effects, recording, and story telling is just beyond anything else out there.
The content is good overall, but the host cannot pronounce anything in Spanish to save his life. It is nice that he brought in DEA agents to interview and his brief summary of the history is spot on. If you’re going to cover events in Latin America at least try to pronounce some of the things correctly. I mean seriously though no one could’ve done a worse job at pronouncing.
Great research - great delivery- background music is just right - this podcast does an awesome job of presenting the story with entertainment and journalism - I listen to this at night … great way to unwind at the end of the day
Can’t wait for the next episodes!
first of all, I love his voice
Really great podcast, it’s my very first time listening to one so I’m very glad I found this one while I do my homework! Lol
