Coming from a small town, I honestly had no idea that I was a member of the LGBTQ community. I didn’t even know what that meant. I also had parents who had multiple divorces during my youth. Having these people share their stories of their own families, chosen families, and the diversity of them is amazing representation that I didn’t get to have. I’m thankful my daughter will grow up with this. Tyler is someone who has a casual conversation and brings the heart. I listened to the entire first season during my work day.
I just took a long road trip and made sure to bring some good podcasts along with me. This podcast series was above and beyond the most engaging. It had me crying and smiling and laughing out loud. All the feels but in the best possible ways. Could not recommend this podcast more. It is incredible.
I’m in love with the first fantastic episode of this new podcast and can’t wait for the next. We need stories that help move us into a roomier future of what family means. Beautifully produced and full of heart. A new fave!
Subscribed and ready for more! These well-told heart warming stories inspire and educate by giving a glimpse into the lives of the families of today. Can’t wait for the full season. <3
Having seen Tyler perform on stage and having had the pleasure of listening to his incredible storytelling, I would not miss one episode. And this coming from someone who loathes podcasts. He’s that good. Do yourself a favor, listen to This Is My Family.
I was basically hooked from the trailer. This is the kind of podcast we need. More stories like this that can challenge the social construct of what family is and what family can actually be. Thank you for creating a show that is rooted in love and hope.
Beyond excited for this show. Tyler is a fantastic, empathetic storyteller and producer. His introspection regarding his own modern family creates a framework to explore through his guests their relationships and challenges us all to examine and value our daily human connections.
