How can the trial be a joke ? It’s literally all real do you think they just made this up ?! No, so in fact it’s not a joke.
Also my mom was listening to this when I got out of my therapy appointment...
I’ve watched the entire trial and I could have done a better job. All it does is repeat what was covered on MPR. Does not bring any new perspectives or analysis.
It’s founder runs off to California and buys up bunch of mansions with all the donation money...George Floyd death is nothing but an excuse for these people to vandalize and loot. Today’s media should be ashamed!!
Isn’t it telling that the same people giving this podcast poor ratings bc they claim it is biased and presumes Chauvin’s guilt prior to hearing g all evidence & doesn’t provide him w/the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, are the same people that condemn George Floyd bc they say he was passing a counterfeit $20, despite the fact there is zero evidence he was aware the $ was counterfeit, these same people are incapable of seeing how their own prejudice informs their inclination to give Derek Chauvin the same benefit of the doubt, that they are wholly unwilling to even consider affording George Floyd.
This is supposed to be about the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. In a trial, we must prioritize the facts of the case over everything else, but this podcast does almost the exact opposite. It does not cover the arguments that the prosecutors or defense counsel are making, and it does not cover what is happening in the court room on a daily basis. It simply assumes the officer is guilty based on emotional characterization of communities within Minneapolis. This is important to understanding the context of the trial, but absolutely fails i this is important to understanding the context of the protests, but it absolutely fails in explaining what is happening in the trial.
Too little coverage, and not useful when episodes are so far apart. I can find out what I need from other sources. I’d listen if these episodes were more in-depth and/or closer to real-time analysis (e.g., end of the day, recapping the day).
In typical media bias style, this commentary briefly highlights, with opinion, what this podcast wants you to hear. Nothing factual is reported. Real journalism is dead. Waiting for someone to prove me wrong.
I was looking forward to this being a daily or twice-weekly deep dive on the trial as it happens but it isn’t that. There’s been more than a week of the trial and we haven’t gotten any real content other than a 10 minute update. Not good.
A 10 minute “update” after a full week of trial? I am sure MPR has considerable coverage on the radio. Use some of that reporting. Summarize every day of the trial. This should be obvious. This couldn’t be more useless if you tried.
Only the jurors can judge this trial. We need due process without the community getting all fired up. We have laws, criminals will break them, they still deserve a fair trial.
I subscribed to this podcast hoping for in-depth coverage of the trial but all we get is a 10 minute episode once a week? Why aren't there daily updates? Why are the episodes so short?
I thought the whole point of this podcast was to cover the trial. We’re 5 days in and there haven’t been any new episodes since last week. What’s going on?
So I’m currently maybe three minutes in to the life and death episode of George Floyd, I will not give this podcast anymore time of my life but I will write a review correct in a few mistakes I’ve already heard or kind of important facts mysteriously left out to fit this narrative. For 20 minutes the officers were very accommodating to George Floyd offering him an air-conditioned seat in their car which he resisted and asked to be put on the floor because for the entire duration of the interactions with the police officers he was screaming I can’t breathe. The autopsy reported the officers did not kill George Floyd the combination of stress and the multitude of drugs he was on at the time caused him to overdose. Furthermore the knee on the back of the neck was standard training in the police training handbook. Can we also mention how the store owner told George Floyd twice that he had given him a fake $20 bill and George Floyd did nothing he was not a golden child like you were paging him out to be, it is sad that he died but the officer does not deserve to go to prison for following his training. Why go to all the trouble of making this podcast if you’re not even gonna tell the truth?
(i’m sorry for any grammatical errors I’m on my hands-free driving right now but I just could not stand not getting this review out)
The dude had lethal levels of fentanyl in his system and the knee thing is in the process manual. You are being lied to and manipulated because the Left takes advantage of your weak minded, socially illiterate, gullible emotionality.
Was excited to see this being covered by MPR but then noticed there apparently aren’t new episodes every day? There have been multiple testimonies this in the past 3 days but there hasn’t been an update in 4 days. Why say you’re a podcast covering the trial when you’re unable to keep the podcast updated in correspondence to the trial? What’s the point? Even a 10-15 minute episode would be better than literally nothing
