I listen while I work, very entertaining. Good listen. Rocket and Starlord sound the same in many moments, had to double back a few times to clarify who was talking during some of the back and forth. Very good though, I’ll be listening to all the wastelanders for sure.
If the Rygelian Recorder records everything audio and visual. why are we only experiencing the audio portion? not plot hole per se but overall very good podcast.
Pretty good and entertaining. The charactizatioms are very well done, unlike Old Man Wolverine. Except for maybe Doom. I haven’t listened to his show yet but the Doom in this does not talk like Doom should. I know it’s an audio drama but he would not explain everything he’s done and talk like he does in here. All in all a good show. My only gripe throughout was that Peter and Rocket sound dang near the same, it’s hard to tell who’s talking.
Great podcast, stayed faithful to the witty banter and hijinks of the original franchise. Unfortunately, the two main voice actors who are very good in their roles, sound so similar, it’s sometimes hard to tell who’s speaking, Quill or Rocket.
Looking forward to next installment.
This piece is well done. The characters are compelling, voice acting is on point for being these characters 30 years in the future. Characters that are scarred,Gristled, gnarled and broken. I hope others give this a go and find it to be a gem in the dust of time. Thank you cast and all apart of production.
Wow! I thought the Old Man Hawkeye story was good, but man this one is great! I love how this story expands on this post-apocalyptic world and it utilizes some unexpected characters for the story. It’s so good and that ending was wow. Definitely check it out, it’s more mature and more fitting for the source material. I have to admit, it’s super difficult to tell who is speaking when Rocket and Quill are talking, but you get a feel for the difference based on how they speak. Definitely check this out.
The voice actor for star lord just ain’t right. The one for rocket is close enough for radio, but it’s hard to stay in the illusion with this version of Quill.
This sounds petty and harsh but I rate this a 3 because of Star-Lord’s voice. If it was a side character then I would've dealt with it but that wasn’t possible given he’s a main character. You can’t ignore it when it interrupts every single episode. In addition I felt it clashed with Rocket’s voice which wasn’t great because I like Chris Elliott’s performance.
Otherwise, like the other Wastelanders stories the production is fantastic. I really enjoy the subtleties of each scene which makes it so immersive. The story is good although I felt like there was too much backstory that needed telling.
Really good story, great production, and almost every voice actor is great also. Everyone except Star-Lord. I’m sure Timothy Busfield is a great guy but he ain’t Peter Quill. LOVED Danny Glover’s Red Crotter and Vanessa Williams as Emma Frost. A prequel to this story would be greatly appreciated.
This show is SO FUNNY… I couldn’t stop laughing. The voice acting is SO funny and feels extremely real. Star lord isn’t like the movies. But its better! This star-lord and Rocket are to good. 5 star review… keep making!
Star Lord sounds like Malt Liquor and cheap Ripple Wine produced a voice actor….then marvel decided this voice actor perfect for representing Peter Quill? 🤦🏻♂️ realize Star Lord has seen better days in storyline but voice actor used conveys Star Lord is useless cosmic moose piss dribble.
Having Cora be a recorder was a genius idea. She can set the scene and relay information from the past or give additional context, it's a really great storytelling mechanic. Other than that it's an interesting story, I did wish it had a little bit more of an emotional impact especially on the reveal of what happened to the team in the past but other than that top tier story and performance.
The show is great, the characters and the world with a great music track. I don’t want to spoil anything but this made the biggest plot twist of all time. And for anyone who is a big fan of the avengers game. I would recommend this and can’t wait for season two!
I didn’t find the end confusing, by far the best podcast I’ve ever listened to in my opinion. I can say though there better be more flocking episodes!!
Ive really enjoyed the Marvel narrative podcasts. Wolverine was incredible and this has the same quality and sound.
It takes place in the “Old Man Logan” storyline but with a twist. The acting was great and story was like a Mad Max meets Marvel. Good stuff and really enjoyed it.
