Edith!

Reviews For Edith!

I have QCODE+ but I cannot play any episodes of Edith.
Loved this show! 💚 As someone who works in the women in politics space, I appreciated the historical details and modern perspective on Edith Wilson.

What a great story that most people has no idea about. It was funny and interesting at the same time. Loved it
Funny, fast paced and the actors are great!
Seriously one of the best written and acted podcast I’ve listen to. Phenomenal.
The creators of this podcast absolutely nail the balance between historical storytelling and charming, self-aware humor. I like audio dramas but it seems that they are all in the sci-fi/mystery/crime thriller arena, so this factionalized historical tale, was an amazing change and a real treat. Perfectly written and perfectly acted! I have listened to it twice and regularly check back to see if they’re doing another season. Perhaps another episode from US history? Please?
Rosamund Pike is a gem. It was a fun ride with Edith, and poignant and sweet and sad at times. Two thumbs up.
I was re-listening to an episode of of Lovett or Leave It this evening and he played the first episode of Edith! I was hooked from the start- it’s funny, engaging, and has a great mix of history and comedy. It’s very different from any other podcast I’ve come across and o hope they make more like it!
Love it!

So, so good!
Like other reviews have said, this podcast is so unique in the sense that it’s the perfect blend of humor and history. The story is super compelling and interesting, while still maintaining the comedy. The voice acting is excellent, especially Rosamund Pike, which should come as no surprise. The script is fast paced and witty, and production wise it’s very well done. Love this podcast and would love to see more like it!
I was looking for some interesting history podcasts that were not about WWII and that were not super dry. Wow! This one hit the spot! Great acting, great writing, dry humor- I love for Edith’s snarky put downs and Trudy’s dorky one liners. Hope it goes past nine episodes. Just truly entertaining.
Great series!! If you like a little history, with a pinch of drama, and swirl in the comedy, then this is for you. Once wasn’t enough so I played it all twice.
Absolutely enthralling. I adore Rosamund Pike and history, so it seemed obvious I would enjoy the podcast. However, I was blown away by all aspects of it. Well-acted, witty, wonderful.

I really love this story and voices😍
Really a great podcast. QCode always puts out great content. Thank you.
I don't write reviews that often but I wanted to write this to thank the production team and anyone else behind making such a flawless masterpiece. Sound work 10/10 Acting 10/10 Characters 10/10 Story 10/10 Ending 10/10
Hilarious, well written, well acted, and well produced. And educational, to-boot. Feels sadly relevant today. My 13 year-old daughter and I listened to it together and loved it.
I was just going to listen to a quick episode before bed and then couldn’t put it down so-to-speak. Binged the whole thing! Rosamund and Esther are so charming and compelling. Excellent voice work all around including the always-hilarious Stephen Root. 5 stars on the writing and sound design!
Can’t wait to hear what’s next from the creators.
Cast is outstanding! Script is not great. Dialogue seems farcical at times. This podcast is too realistic to be a spoof or a satire, but too cheesy and anachronistic to pass as historical fiction. Listened to the whole thing because I have lots of time on my hands, but wouldn’t recommend this one to friends or family.
Especially the friend Trudy whose behavior is prepubescent. It just doesn’t ring true.
Incredible cast and wonderful performances. This dramatization is funny at times, moving at other times, and always interesting.
Loved the story and cast. Thank you. Must make another one please . 💜
Such a funny, smart, and complicated story!
This was the best podcast I’ve listened to this year. It’s intriguing and definitely entertaining.
I started listening because it was listed under “ad free”. Pretty sure none of the podcasts under that are actually ad free. I thought it would be a great way to advertise your podcast. To release a few ad free episodes. But it’s just a scam. Premise seems interesting tho. Doesn’t pull you in fast enough in the ten minutes before the second ad tho.

It’s bad and you should feel bad for having made it
Never heard a podcast quite like it! A witty, comedic historical fiction
Brilliant execution. The journey Edith takes is so compelling that it’s honestly a bit jarring when things change. This is a masterclass in how to make an ending that’s not really a twist feel like it is. The cast was fantastic, the story was gripping, and the two together makes me feel like I can’t handle it if there isn’t more. Give me a miniseries, you guys. Please? Edit: I still adore this show, truly, which is why I subscribed to qcode in the first place. Besides listening again to the episodes I’ve already listened to and no ads (which don’t bother me) there are no actual perks. I see no reason to keep subscribing at this point. Is there going to be anything extra that makes the subscription worth it?
I love this so much! I don’t want it to end! More, please!
It’s a new story to me, and it’s well told. The script and the cast are amazing.
Boring and not an untold story besides
Edith Wilson as a young Boomer or old GenX transplanted to 1920 is hilarious, and it is vaguely historical.

The only boring podcast I’ve heard from Qcode so far.
Just the right mix of comedy history and a smart way to tell a true story!
Great piece of podcast work fiction.
Worth the listen , so entertaining
Trudie is so funny and cute, and her friendship with Edith was beautiful. The ending gave me the feels, I cried. Thanks for an amazing production, Crooked Media!!
I was legit sad when this podcast was over. Loved the characters, the plot line, the intrigue. I really enjoyed Trudy’s transformation. Listen to this podcast… it’s very enjoyable.
I highly enjoyed this audio drama boasting a talented voice cast, engaging plot, and complicated characters. Honest and creative “could have been” history. Humorous with an unexpected, but moving challenge to its audience.
I throughly enjoyed this! It was very well written and the actors portrayed theirs roles so well even through audio only!
I’m mostly unimpressed when it comes to comedy podcasts, but this pod made me laugh every episode. Felt like I was was watching a tv show, and could picture the characters in each setting, despite just listening. Well done!!
It’s an entertaining listen.

Was so surprised by this podcast. Was so funny and interesting.
This show is interesting, if anachronistic, and incredibly well produced. But some of the hokey voice acting really does me in 🤢 I almost crashed my car when Esther Povitsky was pretending to be drunk, just to stop listening
